i lay in his arms as he wrapped his arms around me tightly. our feet tangled together with my head in the crook of his neck as i listened to his steady calming heartbeat. he played with my hair as he squeezed me again even tighter.
being held by him in his big warm arms was my happy place. i felt safe, protected, like no one could hurt me. he kissed my forehead gently as i buried my head into him.
knowing she felt safe with him was all mattia wanted. for her to know that with him, no one could touch her, or come near her. that she was his everything. he could never forgive himself if anything happened to her.
with him, it felt like nothing mattered except for the two of them. all her worries left when they were together.
he squeezed me again, as i giggled. "what's up baby" i said referring to his tight hold on me. "just wanna be closer to you" he whispered shutting his eyes as he leaned his head on mine. "i don't think that's possible tia" i said as butterflies appeared in my stomach.
"i love you" he said as we both dozed off in each other's arms.
