Dad clears his throat. "Soph, this is the time of age when girls begin to fall in love. What ladies should look for in a relationship is a man who is caring, loyal, intelligent, and brave. You are not a prize that boys get to fight over. YOU have the power to choose the one who you know is right for you. You have got to choose a man who cares for you, not someone who will drop you as soon as he sees another girl in a shop. Make sure whoever this 'Keefe' is will support you through life no matter what. Promise each other you'll care for one another and love each other through thick and thin. You have to go with the boy that makes your heart flutter and shine, makes you laugh and smile, and isn't awkward whenever you're near him. I just want you to know that I'll be with you no matter what happens in your relationship. Don't let yourself down, kiddo. Love you!" he got up, kissed my head, and left my room. Leaving me red and nauseous. "Oh goodness..." I muttered. I was about to pick up my phone again when Edaline popped her head in with a goofy smile. "Can I meet your boyfriend?"
