thankfully, joy wasn't at the dorms since she was going to a friend's birthday party. i was looking through my closet to find something i could wear. i just decided to wear something simple but nice since we were just going out to get ice cream and walk around the park. i started fixing my hair when i heard a knock. i looked at the time to see it was about 5:40. confused as to who it could be, i opened the door to see jaehyun. i stopped brushing through my hair and felt my cheeks heat up. jaehyun laughed a little.

"you still getting ready?" jaehyun asked me. i nodded my head in response as i let him in the dorm. thankfully it wasn't much of a mess. i went back into the bathroom to continue doing my hair, and jaehyun followed me. i could feel him staring at me as i finished brushing through my hair. after i finished fixing up my hair, jaehyun back hugged me. "you look really pretty." he said looking at my face in the mirror. i smiled and turned around to hug jaehyun back. "i think you look better." i told him. "well that is incorrect." he said before patting my head.

i playfully rolled my eyes at him. "let's go now?" jaehyun asked. "let's go." i said as i grabbed his hand. we left the dorm and jaehyun kept playing with my hand as we walked to the park not too far away. "you wanna head to my place after the date? taeyong and johnny made cookies." jaehyun asked me. "sure, what kind of cookies?" i responded. "chocolate chip, hopefully they don't burn the kitchen down." jaehyun said. i laughed a little before i realized we were almost at the ice cream stand in the park.

"yay, we're here!" i exclaimed. jaehyun let go of my hand and put his hand on my shoulder. "what flavor do you want?" jaehyun asked me. "i'll just get cookie dough." i told him and he got the ice creams. "i can pay for it." i told him while reaching into my bag. "no no, it's okay, i'll pay." jaehyun said. "no i'll pay for it-" jaehyun cut me off. "i'll pay for the ice cream, don't worry about it." he said before paying for the ice cream. then we started walking around the park with our ice creams.

"can i pay next time-" i asked jaehyun. "there's no need for you to pay. i'll pay every time, don't worry about it." he told me. "but i wanna pay sometimes too." i pouted. "okay okay, you can pay sometimes." jaehyun said and i smiled again. we just continued to walk around the park while eating our ice cream. "oh y/n you have some ice cream on your nose-" jaehyun told me. i looked at him and he put some ice cream on my nose. while jaehyun laughed, i put some on his cheek. i giggled at him as he pouted. i grabbed one of the napkins we had and cleaned it for him.

jaehyun smiled at me before kissing my forehead. i smiled back at him. we then found a bench and sat down to finish the ice cream. after finishing the ice cream, we threw the trash away. "wanna watch the sunset by the pond?" jaehyun asked. i nodded in response and we sat down by the pond while watching the sunset. i felt jaehyun back hug me, so i held his hand. "tiny hand~" jaehyun said. "i don't have a tiny hand. you just have a big hand." i told him. he just laughed at me. "what's wrong with having a tiny hand? i think it's cute." he said. "in that case, i do have a tiny hand." i said.

jaehyun laughed a little again. it was nice to hear him laugh now since he used to be more serious. it was almost like he lost his ignorance when he was with me. "i love you." jaehyun mumbled. "what'd you say?" i asked. "uhm n-nothing-" jaehyun stuttered. "i'm pretty sure you said something." i told him. "nothing i just said uhm, i love you." jaehyun whispered. i smiled. "i promise i'll say it back one day." i told him while playing with his fingers. jaehyun back hugged me a little tighter. "let's head to my place now?" jaehyun asked. "sure," i said. we both got up before walking to my dorm building to get his car.
