The Silver Haired Pirate

Chapter 14

The next time Aki woke up it was to Luffy yelling,

"Lay low but we're coming Crocodile!" and a missing Ace and surprisingly Chopper not being dragged by Zoro who was in fact carrying Aki instead. The continuous steps that Zoro took made Aki's limp body jump every time, which gave him the opportunity to spot a city in the distance slowly approaching. When Luffy's words registered in his head he whispered quietly,

"You know yelling isn't laying low." this halted Zoro which halted everyone else. Luffy, somehow heard what Aki said, and his head whipped around and he stared wide eyed at the silver haired man. Zoro also had on a shocked face. The others that hadn't heard, which had been most of them, quickly caught on and also turned to look at Aki

"You're awake!"

"AKI?!"

"Are you okay?"

"Can you move?"

"...?!"

"So you're alive after all." that one got a slap across the head.

Aki chuckled at his nakama's words. His voice came out low and raspy,

"I'm fine. Besides the fact that I can't move a muscle." everyone sighed but then got concerned once again. Usopp had to hold Luffy back because he was trying to jump onto the silver haired man. After a short while of talking and yelling Aki had regained some strength, allowing him to walk,

"Anyway we should keep going. The city seems close."

"Yes, it is." replied Vivi as she turned her attention to Rainbase

"By the way, where'd Ace go?" Aki turned to Sanji who was standing beside him.

"Oh he had to leave since the rumor of Blackbeard was fake after all."

The silver haired man hummed and absentmindedly ran his fingers through Choppers fur and pet his head.

"Well anyway. If anything does happen I will take it upon myself to protect Vivi and Nami from any harm" Sanji said surprisingly calmly, but then he pointed to himself and began to grin, "I'm always happy to play prince for a charming lady!"

"Smooth." Said Zoro as he picked his ear,

"Smoother than you!" Sanji shot back, which resulted in another battle. Aki turned his attention to Chopper and Usopp as they groaned,

"Need... water..." the group continued on walking... well some of them.... Others just dragged themselves in the sand,

"There is none! Stop complaining." Snapped Zoro. After a short while of walking Luffy suddenly zoomed forward yelling 'Crocodile' leaving Usopp to chase after him. Aki internally facepalmed and began to question if he really should have joined this pirate group. Well too late now, now they're in the middle of a f**king desert. Nothing much he can do about it.

"Should we really have let them do that?" asked Sanji

"It's only an arrand they can do it." said Nami as she leaned against a post, sitting beside Vivi,

"I wonder... you don't think they'll come back with trouble? We should be prepared for that." Mumbled Zoro, Aki sighed and nodded. The silver haired man watched as Zoro poked Eyelash with a stick,

"I'm gonna go take a wiz." said Chopper as he walked away,

"Be careful!" yelled Aki after him. Chopper nodded and continued on his way. After a short while Usopp and Luffy came running their way holding barrels filled with water,

"Crap... the marines are chasing them!!" Sanji pointed out,

"Are you kidding?! Why are they running over here then?!" Nami cried,
