Chapter 5

Once we walked out of McDonalds we headed to My brother and I's house.
Instead of Luke holding my hand he had his arm around me.
"Your house is so far.." Mikey joked.
"No it isn't." Calum said back
"Luke your lucky." Ashton says
"Bc of Kennedy?" Luke ask
"No your legs.They are amazing!" Ashton says
Luke laughs a little.
"All the girls love my legs." Luke explains.
I laugh.

When we arrived at my house, All the boys went to the garage.
"Aren't you coming" Luke asked.
"Um no, I uh have stuff to do." I lied.
I really wanted to spend more time with them but I needed to talk to Ski.
Luke nodded and gave me a hug before he walked back to the garage.
I picked up my phone and the house keys and left the house.

The walk to Ski's house was quick. She leaves 2 blocks away so it isn't far.
I knocked on the door. I heard a squeaky noises from the floor than a huge bang coming from the door.
Ski opened the door "I crashed into the door."She laughed a little.
I laughed.
"Just get in." She teased.
I got in and said hi to Ski's mom.
Then Ski and I went straight to her room.
"So.. How was McDonald's?" Ski asked.
"Good. Luke had his arms around me the whole time" I said as we both squealed.
"Are you guys a thing?" She asked.
I paused for a second. Where me and Luke a thing? I mean I only knew the guy less than a week. I don't even know that much about him.
"Ummm no" I said
Ski frowned.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because I need to get to know him better." I replied.
It was true. I can't just speed this thing up like I did with my past boyfriend. It didn't end up so well.
I mean him and I are friends but it isn't the same.
"Your thinking too much" She told me.
"It is just a boy. Lets watch Whit Chicks." She said
I nodded in agreement.

"I never get tired of this movie." I told Ski.
She smiled then turned off the TV.
I checked the time. It was 7:30.
I usually stay longer at Ski's house but I really wanted to see the band practice.
"I have to go" I said
"Okay but Tell Calum I say Call me" She joked.
I nodded then grabbed my stuff and left.
The sun was already down and it was dark. I hate walking to my house at nighttime. Unexpected things could happen. As I was walking I saw someone coming my way. It was Luke.
"Hey" he said.
He tried to lean in for a kiss but I stopped him.
"What happened?" He asked
"Um nothing. I just think I should get to know you better." I admitted
He frowned.
"Can't we date. I can get to know you while we date." He said
I shook my head.
"That won't work. Trust me I have tried it before." I told him.
"But I am a different person. It could work with me." He said
I laughed a little. I don't know why but I can't stay serious with relationship problems.
"And what makes you different." I asked.
"Um I actually don't know." Luke said.
I laughed and headed back my way to my house.
"See you tomorrow, Friend." I yelled back.
Luke just followed me.
"Don't you have some place to be?" I joked.
"Um no." He said
I smirked.
"Luke I told you,We can only be friends." I said
"I know. But I certainly can't let a friend walk alone to her house. In the dark." He replied
I stopped and gave him a look. Then we continued walking.
"So why do you and Calum live by yourselfs?" He asked.
"Um well it is a long story." I said
"I have time." He said back.
"Well um my dad is an asshole. And my mom died in a car accident. So Calum and I saved up some money and bought a small little house for us both." I told him.
"How?" Luke asked.
"I used to work and Our Mom left us some money." I said
"And why is your dad an asshole?" Luke asked.
I didn't want to tell him the story. Luckily we got to my house just in time.
"Thanks for walking me home. well kinda." I said.
He smiled and left.
