"I'll never be married with kids," Remus sighed as he picked miserably at long grass, sat with Peter and Sirius whilst James and Lily sat a little further away, closer than humanly possible.
"Don't be absurd," Sirius accused.
"Why would deprive the world of such a beauty," Lily said, and it's got to be the most beautiful thing anyone's ever said to him. Her attitude changed, "plus, what makes you think I'm gonna marry this tosser," she slapped James' cheek lightly, sending his glasses askew.
"Oi!" James said loudly.
"I just mean that I'd never be able to," he said sadly, smile fading. "I mean, can I even have kids that won't have the same curse as me?"
"Moony, it's not a curse," Peter said softly.
"It's a part of you. But what you are does not define who you are," Sirius said and rubbed his shoulder consolingly. Sirius grinned jovially, "besides, I think perhaps the more pressing issue here is that I also do not harbor a uterus."
And with that, they were all rolling on the grass in fits of laughter.
"Oh my God," Lily wheezed through her giggles, voice high in realization, "you so just told us who tops!"
Sirius blushed faintly and Remus tried to glare though the affect was ruined by his continuous laughter. It was good to have friends that could never fail to brighten a day.
