a/n: i forgot to describe kayla so ima do it now. so kayla is your normal 17 year old. she very quiet and a good student at school. she's lived in New Jersey her whole life. her dad died when she was really young, so she lives with her mom.

kayla's pov:
me and natalie just had gotten out of school and natalie was driving me home.
natalie:comeee on Kayla you never go out
Kayla:I would come but I have work
natalie:no you don't, come on
kayla:I don't wanna goooo
natalie:why not
kayla:nat you know I don't do parties
natalie:come on just tonight, I won't force you again
kayla:okay fine
I said sighing.
natalie:yesss finally be ready by 9 and I'll pick you you
kayla: alright, I'll see you later
I said getting out of her car.
natalie:byeee
I walked into my house and went up to my room. my mom was at work so I was home alone. it was only 3:45 so I still had a ton of time before the party. i was debating on doing my work for hot minute before I just decided to do it. I took out my work and then started. after like an hour I finally finished my work. i was fucking tired so I decided to take a nap. i set my alarm and then went to bed. I am guessing I slept through my alarm because when I woke up it was 6pm. I- since when was I such a heavy sleeper. anyways i wanted to take a shower to freshen up so I took out some clothes and then hopped into the shower. once I finished taking a shower I changed and then sat on my bed. I went in tiktok and was just scrolling through my fyp. I decided to make a tiktok since I hadn't made one in like forever. I set up my phone on my desk and started the video. I made a couple tiktoks and then posted it. I kept myself busy until 8:30. i decided to start getting ready now. I looked though my clothes until I found something. I went into the bathroom and got changed:

after I got changed I straightened my hair and did my makeup. nothing crazy just my usual look. I finished getting ready and it was 8:57 so Natalie would be here anytime. I grabbed my purse and jacket and went downstairs. I sat in the living room as I waited for nat. a few minutes later I got a text from her saying she was outside. I grabbed my stuff and headed out.

Natalie:omggg you look so good
Kayla:thankk you but look at you
Natalie:as we fucking should
we started laughing. Natalie pulled out of my driveway and started driving. after about 15 minutes we got to this big ass house. Natalie parked the car and we got out. as we walked in the smell of alcohol and drugs smacked us in the face.
Natalie:come on let's get some drinks
she said pulling me behind her. we walked into the kitchen and Natalie poured us some drinks.
Natalie:kairi's here I'll be back
Kayla:alrighttt
she left me alone, great. oh yeah kairi is natalies boyfriend. I've never really met him. i leaned against the counter as I drank my drink. I was going on my phone when someone bumped into me.

i looked up and saw this tall boys standing in front of me.

kayla:shi- it's okay

mattia:well kayla, you look lonely do you mind if I join you?
kayla:oh I'm fine, but sure

we started talking.
mattia:wait what school do you go too?

kayla:i know that's surprising to me because my social anxiety would never
I said laughing.
at this point we were both kinda drunk. as we kept talking I kept feeling the urge to kiss him....
