[Matt’s POV]
My body was on full alert as I heard the sound of my front door unlock.
I shuffled into the kitchen corner more as I heard the door click shut and footsteps, stepping on the broken glass and other crap.
I couldn’t work out who was in the house, I mean the only person that had our house keys was me and-
“Matthew?”
Dad.
What the hell was he doing here?
He wasn’t due home for another two months.
“Matthew, I know you’re in here”
I made no attempt of making any sound.
I brought my knees closer to my face and buried myself.
“What the hell happened in here?” he whispered to himself as I heard the sound of numerous lights flicker on. I’ve been living in the house completely dark for 3 days now.
I felt his presence before he even said anything
“Matthew?” I groaned internally at what he called me. I hated that name.
I kept my head buried in my knees; I waited patiently for the assault to come for practically destroying the house.
