There was a small cafe that was tucked in a corner, two blocks away from Seoul High, named Memory Cafe. No one really knew when the Memory Cafe had opened, people just remember that one fine day, the cafe appeared there, as if it had been there for decades. An elderly couple seemed to own the cafe, always seen bustling about behind the wooden counter, washing plates or counting money, pulling out trays of baked goods or scolding a server for making a mess.
The owners, Mr and Mrs Lee, as everyone liked to joke, were like immortal magicians, seeing as to how they seemed to never age even after years. People were drawn to the cafe like moths to fire.
The funny thing was, Memory Cafe served food that tasted wistfully familiar.
The cafe gave a warm pulsating amber glow on a wet evening, inviting those drenched from the rain for a hot drink. On a scorching summer afternoon, the cafe offered icy air conditioning and a plate of chilled sliced fruit. It had everything, and sometimes, you could even get food for free, as long as you told the wonders a memory of yours. One you do so, luck will always be on your side, and you will be blessed with extraordinary experiences.
