To keep his promise to Chaeryeong, Taehyun had prepared a drink (under the close watch of Jisu) for Chaeryeong, scribbling her name on the brown cup and leaving it on the counter for when the girl came to pick it up.

When she did come, she looked a little dazed and light-headed, not responding to Jisu despite the older girl shouting her name thrice. It was only after a good poke did the girl shake her head like a wet dog ridding its ears of water, and quickly apologized, "You called me?"

Jisu sighed as she handed her the drink, "What's wrong?"

Chaeryeong gestured for jisu to go to the side, and Taehyun couldn't help but overhear.

"Do san...woke up." That was what Taehyun managed to catch before Jisu let out a gasp louder than she should have, her hand flying to her mouth.

Jisu politely requested for a ten-minute break from the owners, before dragging Chaeryeong to a table and sitting down, leaning forward to learn the details.

So Taehyun focused on the job before him, trying not to let curiosity eat him alive.
