It's basically you can copy semblance but they can't stay within your body so they fade over time, to make them stay you have to adapt to them, You can also improve on other semblance's.

You become a living nightmare others begin to fear, you are nightmares incarceration.
You can use what fears others for your gains even if it's a one time fear like let's say ruby feared something when she was a child you can use it even if she is not scared of it anymore.
You can also make nightmarish version of things.
