As faint knock came from the blonde detectives front door deeks was quite shocked as it was nearing 2 in the morning but decided to inch himself off his couch to answer the door.
His eyes widened at the sight in front of him. A small little girl no older than a year and a half old stood I'm front of him. She swept the blonde curls that framed her face away from her eyes she looked up at him with her blue eyes that he swore could look right into his sole. He got down onto his knees and looked her in the eyes and asked "are you lost honey, want me to help you find your mommy?" The little girl didn't respond and just looked down into her hands almost immediately Deeks noticed the letter in her tiny hands "what's that in your hands?" he asked in the nicest voice he could. She didn't respond but just lifted her hand and gave him the letter. Without opening the letter Deeks thought it was too cold to keep standing in the door way so he grabbed the little girls hand, led her inside and shut the door behind them.

Deeks turned on the living room lights and set the young girl on the couch and opened the letter
Dear Marty,
It's Hayden and The little girl you have just met is Jennah, she's a year and a half old and belive it or not... Your daughter, we hadnt even been together for a month before I got pregnant and I knew your job and the dangers it got you into so I thought it best to not bother you with a pregnancy not to mention our relationship wasn't going to go anywhere. So I just left neither of us called or texted because I was gonna leave one way or another. But your probably wondering why after leaving you because I thought your job was too dangerous for a daughter why I am leaving her at your doorstep... Well marty I have cancer and it's aggressive I have about a month to live and I just want the best life for Jennah I don't have any family left and we both know foster care wouldn't be a good life for her, please marty I beg you just to let her live a happy life she's a tough girl and she'll warn up to you real quick, well I'm going to end this now... Please give Jennah a kiss for me
-Hayden
