WENDY

I REMAINED silent after hearing Zen's statement.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"

I opened the door slowly and hear a creaking sound that can be heard throughout the room. I don't really intend to go out so I slowly closed the door and heard another creaking sound. If anyone's going to open this, the creaking sound will cause whoever in this room to turn his back and see for himself.

There were also no signs of struggle. The scenario that I've thought earlier was probable. However if the killer went in while the victim's still inside, the trophy that once located above the shelf would make no sense unless they tried looking for some things together without paying attention towards each other, thus making the killer have the chance to hit his head. Honestly, there were a lot of scenarios I could think of—some don't make sense while a few does.

I'm not suited with investigation stuffs.

"We have five suspects," sabi ni Zen habang may nakakalokong ngiti. "Kasama na 'ko at ikaw. Hihihi."

"What? Bakit tayo nasama?"

"Kasi..." And you're also the second one to see the body. So it makes sense why we became one."

"But we had our alibis. 'Di ba dapat crossed out na tayo?"

"Hmm. Hindi naman gano'n kababaw mag-isip ang mga pulis kaya kahit sobrang tibay ng alibi mo, everything will be suspicious. Did 'cha know?"—He then threw a glance at me with a straight face—"You wouldn't be able to enter the real world of criminology if you didn't know something as plain as that. You should look at all angles. Different angles—may be simple ones or out of ordinary."

"No offense, I don't need your lecture. Hindi ko naman papasukin ang mundo ng criminology," sagot ko habang nakataas ang isang kilay.

Tumawa lang siya nang mahina. "Cursed doll, pustahan babawiin mo 'yang sinabi mo. Masarap ang criminology!"

"Masarap? Ano'ng lasa?" nakangiti kong tanong.

"Matamis! Pustahan tayo, masar—"

"What? Pusta?"

"Yeah Mga 100 pesos lang. Wala akong ipon, e." "They're coming here."

"Huh?"

"Hahaha! Galit na galit si Detective Abordo nang malaman niyang bluff lang 'yon."

Natutuwa siya kapag may nagagalit na authority? I slap my palm in my face. "How did you know?"

"Earpod. Listening bug in Officer Ginny's." he answered and tapped his right ear twice. Where did get such gadgets? "I slip the bug in her pocket earlier while interrogating me."

Zen suddenly pulled my hand and hug me from behind. "What?! Zen?! What are you—"
