Small time skip Elijah POV

Klaus has finally started to slow down. We are in Mystic Falls, my brother has now shown that he could not care any less about anything other than reaching his destination. He is just walking what seems to be the shortest way there because he is going through the streets, backyards, and just about everywhere else. I have had to compel several people now to forget they see a grey wolf the size of a small car, walking by.

Klaus POV

I can feel I have just about reached where my wolf is leading me. As I pass by some people can see me but I figure Elijah could deal with them since I noticed him following me since I left.

The familiar streets passing one after another. The pull lessons and lessons, I am heading her house. I try my hardest to pull back. Fighting as hard as I can to keep my promise but no matter how hard I try, I fail. I am in her backyard just against the tree line, stopping for the first time since I shifted. After running so far I should feel tired and not be able to keep on my feet, but I feel as if I have even more energy than before.

She is there, sitting in her backyard passing. I don't know how long I stood there just watching her until I heard a soft gasp.

Caroline POV

After getting home from Elena's house and hearing her rant to me and Bonnie about her relationship drama, I feel restless deciding to go outside and watch the sunset and attempt to get my mind to stop racing about everything that is going on. I soon realize after being outside I can't calm my mind so I stand up and walk around my backyard to let off some steam. After a moment my vampire hearing picks up the sound of leaves moving and a twig break. I turn around towards the sound. I see an enormous wolf. I gasp, 'It's not even a full moon' I think to myself. I should be freaking out, I should be running from it and not turn back, but I can't I don't. I oddly feel my mind calm, my heart slow. I look into its eyes, "Who are you?" I say out loud even though I know I won't get a response. The wolf slowly comes past the trees not breaking eye contact almost as if he is trying to make sure I am calm. Without realizing it, the wolf is no more than a foot away from me and I am crouched to the ground in front of it. I reach out to touch it's fur, when I do the wolf leans into my touch and lets out an almost purr. I don't know who this wolf is, or why he is here but I do know that he won't hurt me.

Klaus POV

As she gently rubs her small hand through my fur I feel almost as is this is where I have always been meant to be.
