Final Preparations

December 2021.

Ziggy: Dr. Sam Beckett, having told Miley of his "Next Leaper Project" and Made his Final leap has now Retired. But I can still remember the Day we made those final preparations, so Dr. Beckett could change Two more things for the better, and we all knew, that the new Leaper he would Choose... Would not be at the same Level Dr. Beckett was at. But, as the French would say: "C'est la vie." Which is translated to: "That's Life." And that Phrase still rings out to me when Dr. Beckett made his Final Speech as a Leaper, as does his Selection of successor. May fate and Time bless Dr. Beckett's Successor as we send him or her to Take Sam's Place.

Sam: Ahh... I've missed this place. So many memories. I've kept all my leaps on file here.

Miley: You do?

Sam: It's actually in the Archives chamber in a filing cabinet if you want to read about them.

Miley: Okay. Thanks. It will be fun to learn of your past leaps throughout your career, so I can learn how to do things as you did them. If I were to replace you, I want to learn the techniques.

Sam: I know you do. But remember my Rules.

Miley: I will.

Donna: So this is it, huh?

Al: Yeah, it's my last hurrah as an observer. I'm done after this. My age is really concerning.

Donna: I feel for you. It's been like... let's see... roughly 27 Years since we made our first leap and 23 since the "Mirror Image" Event that Samuel Described to me. 

Later...

Sam: This Project has had a clear mission ever since the day we started: Travel back into the past and change history for the better; Put right what once went wrong.

Alia: Yes, I fully know that by now.

Miley: Cool.

Sam: It all started when a little science experiment I was conducting went a little "cuckoo" after I had prematurely stepped into the accelerator. In the blink of a cosmic moment, I went from Quantum Physicist to an Air Force Test Pilot named Tom Stratton. I didn't know what I was doing at first, but thanks to my friend Al, I managed to pull through just fine. Since then, I had become sort of a time-traveling "Lone Ranger" with Al as my Tonto. The only thing was, I didn't need a mask.

Al: Yep, the original Introduction you said after your first two leaps. 

Sam: Yes. Well, for one last time before I call it quits, Al and I will go back to two random points in the past, change history one last time, and then return home. 

Sammy Jo: Dr. Beckett, before you leave... I want you to know... I am learning your techniques, and I do want to be the next Leaper.

Sam: I'll write out my wish on who should become the Next Leaper/Observer Trio, and then I'll be ready.

(He does that)

Ziggy: Sam... We are ready.

Sam: So am I. 

Donna: Okay, for one final time, activate the panels. 

For the last time in his career as a leaper, the scientists of PQL activated their respective panels, Sending Sam Beckett back into the past, one last time...
