The death wave, it brought back more painful memories then Thea cared to admit; the death of her mother and father, and the death of her adoptive father. Her mother and father died when she was four, because they tried stealing medicine, leaving her broken and without a family. But Mavrick Greymont had stepped in and taken charge, insisting Thea come and live with his family. This was due to his affiliation with her parents, knowing them because he was personal friends with them as a child. He knew that they would have wanted Thea to be safe and have a home, and what better person to offer that then their closest friend. There was no issue with getting along with one another, she had always wanted a sibling, and now she had one. Henry is his name, two years old then her and a genius with building thing. He taught her how to do everything, giving her books on science and technology, as well as many others. She had been welcomed with no questions asked, suddenly alleviating the loneliness and sadness she had felt. Now, she sits on Earth, thinking about those times before Earth. She missed it, the Ark; the sound of the machine hum, and the damp smell that greenhouse had. She missed it all, but this was her life now. Living in the last piece of paradise, hoping that those who went to space and those in the bunker found so happiness. All she wanted was peace, and found it in the valley, but somehow she doubted it would last. If the previous events of the past have proved anything, is that peace is permanent and ever changing. It was just a matter of time before the next war. The next fight for land, and then after we could regain our humanity. But she knew it was a lie, knowing that they could regain something that they couldn't find, this was their humanity and nothing could change that.
