The group seated themselves in a circle, it consisting of Blaise, Adrian Pucey, Flint, Theo, Emerald, Pansy, Maya and Goyle.
"How about truth or dare?" Maya offered
"Sounds perfect" a drunk Emerald giggled " and if you don't want to do your dare you have to answer a truth"
"Ruthless she is" Blaise explained to their friends
"Hey I've got no complaints, this night is about to get interesting" Adrian Pucey piped up.
The dares started off relatively safe , usually along the lines of Blaise wearing one of Emerald's crop tops or Maya doing a shot of mustard. By the time it was Flint's turn to pick a dare he had a cheeky glint in his eye
"Emerald I dare you to kiss ..." he looked around "...Pucey"
She laughed "and if I don't?"
"If you don't.." he paused thinking "you have to tell us the worst thing you've ever done"
She gulped, there was no way she would ever let that secret out of the bag not even to Blaise. She sighed "come here Pucey" he was smirking as she pulled him in by the collar and placed a single peck on his lips. She pulled away and shrugged ,raising her lips back to her cup. She scanned the group, their faces making her giggle a bit
Pansy and Maya looked like they were silently congratulating her, Blaise and Flint looked at her open mouthed, Adrian was still smirking but it was Theo's reaction that caught her off guard, his eyes were cold, his jaw set, looking anywhere else but her.
"Wow I didn't expect you to actually do it, fair play to you" Flint laughed and Emerald laughed back
"What can I say ,I really didn't want to answer that question" she stuck her tongue out at Pucey who did the same back.
"Goyle truth or dare?" Came Pucey's voice
Goyle scoffed "judging by the last truth I'm gonna have to say dare" he answered
"Hmm I dare you to pick a girl here and spend 7 minutes in heaven in that room there" he pointed at the supplies closet
Goyle smirked, standing up and extending his hand to Maya "good job I broke it off with Greengrass isn't it" pulling a blushing Maya up and leading her towards the cupboard
Gross Emerald thought
"Okay let's keep playing ,to drown those kids out" by now they were all drunk and their inhibitions loosened ,making them a whole lot more truthful, Blaise had stumbled off the the bathroom.
"Hmm Pansy I dare you to suck one of Blaise's toes" Emerald said cracking up laughing
"Gross no way" she exclaimed
"Then your truth is..." she clicked her tongue "tell us what's going on with you and Gideon Stark"
She blushed "well I was going to tell you tomorrow but I guess now is as good a time as any.... we're ...um...dating"
Emerald squealed "oh that's fantastic I'm so happy for you" she clapped her hands ecstatically
"Yeah yeah alright we're not getting married ,calm down" the girl rolled her eyes
"Yet"
Flint coughed "alright enough of the girlyness, back to Theo" he thought for a minute "I dare you to kiss Emerald for 30 seconds and if for some reason you're mad and don't want to do that..." he winked at Em, "you have to tell us whether your father has the dark mark"
Theo opened his mouth in protest ,Marcus was getting too bold and he didn't like it. There was no way he'd tell them his father was a Death Eater. No way, they'd never look at him the same again, they'd never admit it but they had treated Malfoy differently ever since they had found out about his father, Emerald was different, she had her own opinions and never failed to captivate everyone around her with her bold presence, never shy of letting her opinions be known. He wouldn't be so lucky.
He looked at Em "you don't mind?" He asked her, she shook her head a little too earnestly.
"It's only a game" she whispered, leaning in and pressing her warm lips to his own, Theo kissed her back eagerly ,vaguely aware of his friends counting down but he paid them no attention, bringing his hand up to tangle it in her hair at the back of her head, her lips moved softly against his ,in synchrony ,he'd been waiting for this moment for a while, he slid his hand down to cup her cheek...
"Whoa what have I just walked into" Blaise stumbled back ,looking flushed, his eyes wide, he looked spooked and not only at what he had just witnessed.
The two broke apart ,Theo's eyes lingering on her just a few seconds longer 'just a game' she had said. Right now it didn't feel like just a game. It was all he could think about, He had felt a pit of fire burning in his stomach watching Pucey kiss her ,so much so he couldn't even look at her without wanting to break Pucey's nose. what is happening to me?he thought
"I think I need to go to bed" Emerald said, pulling herself up ,falling into an already wobbly Blaise, him just about catching her, somehow managing to stay upright himself.
"Give me a hand Blaise?" She asked ,he nodded, looping his arm around her shoulders
"Goodnight" Emerald said, locking eyes with only Theo and smiling softly, making his heart beat twice as fast
'Just a game' he reminded himself.
" yeah Night guys" Blaise said ,he was acting strangely but the group put it down to the alcohol in his system ,saying their goodnights and watching as they disappeared
"Yeah I'm going to go too" Theo said gruffly ,standing up and stalking off to his room, he was the only one that knew what was bothering Blaise ,them two being the closest out of the boys and also roommates so he wasn't surprised that he wanted to talk to Emerald, the one person he trusted with his whole being so he wasn't concerned about that in the slightest. In truth he just couldn't sit and look at Pucey for a minute longer without seeing his lips pressed against Emerald's , he didn't understand it but made him want to claw his eyes out. He slammed his bedroom door loudly.
"What's got into him?" Pansy asked obliviously
"Isn't it obvious" Flint asked tutting when the Girls shook their heads
"Little Theo has a little crush"

Emerald and Blaise stumbled into her room, her flinging him down on her bed "right shut up or we'll wake Maya" she warned him pointing at the sleeping girl who had left early after her adventures with Goyle in the broom cupboard. She would be getting interrogated about that by her two friends in the morning for sure.
Blaise looked out the window ,turning away habitually as Emerald replaced her tight leggings and top with a baggy crop top and Pjamamas
"It's thundering" he said ,blankly and Emerald shot her head up ,Blaise had never been a fan of storms, as kids she had worked out how the floo network, in her bedroom fireplace, operated so she could visit him in the night ,she had spelled the pair of fireplaces with a protective barrier, the traveller only being able to enter if they gave a password which only her and Blaise knew. She had always stayed with him for the night during storms, he wouldn't have been able to sleep unless she was there, it was clear by the panicked look in his eyes that nothing had changed, even with the alcohol in his system.
He was still perched in the end of her bed barely blinking, she climbed under her covers and patted the space next to her
"Come on you big wimp" she joked
He smiled gratefully, he would have usually made some sort of protest over it ,just to save face, but his head was pounding painfully and he needed to sleep
"Like old times" he smiled and drifted off to sleep.

A/n : hi guys I just wanted to make something clear, this isn't a Draco fanfic or a Theo fanfic this is just a story about Emerald's life but I didn't want to put it in her POV as i feel it doesn't capture how other people are feeling about a situation if you get me
Also Blaise and Emerald are just friends ,very close and they trust each other completely ,he makes her better and she makes him braver, very platonically.
