The next week was chaotic, between Emerald taking the lessons with Dumbledore's army and Harry working night and day with Hermione to make the delinking potion, they were run off their feet.
"Potion will be ready in a few hours" Harry said apprehensively "you can take it tonight"
Emerald nodded appreciatively "I really am
Most grateful for this Harry" she said earnestly "we're not half bad together hey" she joked and he laughed
"They don't stand a chance" he grinned at her
"Your students have picked it up quite quickly" she remarked "quite impressive actually"
"Someone sounds threatened" Oliver joked from the other side of the room where he was in the middle of stunning Lee Jordan
"Shut it Wood" Emerald and Harry both chorused, Harry was looking nervous
"Look Em I wanted to talk to you" he started "I'm leaving" he all but blurted out and Emerald turned to him in surprise
"What?! Why?" She exclaimed and he shook his head
"Horcrux search" he explained "I can't be here but I'd really really appreciate it if you could carry them on with Neville?" He said hopefully and she nodded slowly
"Don't go getting yourself killed Potter" she warned fondly "I don't fancy killing two dark wizards" they chuckled
"I'll be back end of April latest" the brown haired boy told her as they left the Room of Requirement "and then hopefully we'll be five steps closer to ending this"
"Agreed" she nodded in his direction before departing towards her own common room for the night.
And that was the last time the pair saw each other before everything changed their lives for good

The next two weeks flew by. Everyone in the DA were really improving, even some Slytherins had joined after relentless persuasion. The other houses were uncomfortable with this at first but after Emerald had reassured them none of the Slytherins joining would ever be a part of the Death Eaters they had welcomed them with open arms.
Draco and Ryan hadn't been seen at the school for months and rumours were still flying around. By now most of the Slytherins had come to the conclusion Davis had become a death eater, his sister in the other hand had even been to DA meetings and had formed a close friendship with Lavender Brown.
It was currently April 30th and still no sign of Harry, the DA meeting for that night had gone brilliantly, some students even managing nonverbal and wandless spells combined.
"Okay you lot thats enough for today" Marcel announced "you're not completely useless after all" he joked
They all started to gather their belongings when they heard a scuffling behind one of the walls.
The group looked at each other with wide eyes all pointing their wands towards the source of the noise
"Stand back" Emerald instructed and Neville looked at her in surprise
"Em you don't know what's behind here it could be Death Eaters" he babbled
"Which is why it's best for me to check it out" she said defiantly ,she cast the revealing spell at the wall and a familiar scruffy looking trio stepped out
"HARRY!" Emerald exclaimed throwing her arms around the boy, he chuckled and hugged her back
"Nice to see you too Em" he finally noticed the rest of the students and straightened up
