Emerald was woken up to see Theo next to her clutching his arm, hissing in pain

He hadn't realised she was awake as he got up as quietly as possible and made his way over to his dresser, grabbing a black shirt and trousers, slipping them on as quietly as possibly, struggling to do his buttons up because his hands were shaking so much

"Here I'll do it" Emerald said gruffly ,moving over to him

"Oh hey, sorry I didn't mean to wake you" he looked stressed "he's calling" his voice was filled with dread.

Emerald finished doing his last button up, placing a kiss on his collar bone
"Hey it's okay" she reassured him, while he was putting his shoes on, she quickly changed from Theo's T-shirt she was wearing and threw on her black top, leather skirt and boots from earlier on

"Come on then" she smiled at him encouragingly

He looked shocked "no way are you coming with me" he looked nervous "Em you can't!"

But she was already out of the door

He hurried after her "Em?...... Em....? EM!" She finally stilled turning to look at him innocently

"Theo my dear how exactly were you planning on getting there?" She batted her eyelashes, taking his hand in hers

He stopped for a second, sighing when he realised he had no idea how to get out of the castle even less sure of where he was going.
"Are you always going to be right?" His face twisted into a small smile

"Yup , now come on" she lead him to the room of requirement where the vanishing cabinet still laid

"Are you sure about this?" He asked her concernedly

"It's perfectly safe, used it onc..."

"I mean are you sure about coming with me?"he cut her off "I don't want you to get hurt" he looked into her eyes.

She moved forwards to wrap her hands round his neck, pecking him on the lips
"Of course I am, besides you're incompetent without me" she joked trying to calm him down

He sighed and leant down to kiss her deeply, momentarily making everything right in the world again before pulling away and taking her hand and they both stepped gingerly into the cabinet

After transporting to Borgin & Burke's and apparating with Emerald's help to Malfoy Manor, the two teens walked up the path, one confidently and one skittishly. Emerald gave Theo's had a comforting squeeze as they got to the door, hearing his breathing quicken.

"Whatever happens I'll be right here with you, okay? No ones going to make you do anything" Theo nodded gratefully, he was pitifully aware that he should be the one protecting her and not the other way around but in that moment he was too worried to do anything else.

Emerald opened the door in silence them both stepping into the grand hallway, hearing a buzz of murmurs coming from the dining room. She suddenly had a thought

What if her mother was in there?

She gulped, "Theo...if my mother is in there and she sees me with you at first she'll do everything in her power to make your life hell.." she could feel her blood boiling at the thought of anyone hurting Theo "I'll be right outside, I'm going to charm a few things"

He audibly gulped and nodded, understanding what her mother was capable of, she offered him a reassuring smile and turned to walk away but he grabbed her wrist spinning him back into him, kissing her passionately
