"Wheeeeee..!" A shrill giggle echoed around the house as Emerald caught the racing toddler mid jump

"Auntie Emerald let's do that again" the little girl said and Emerald laughed

"Lucy Flint who gave you sugar?" She asked sternly and the little girl pointed in the direction of the sitting room where all Emerald's school friends were

"It was uncle Blaise" she said batting her eyes , "he told me not to tell daddy"

Emerald rolled her eyes "why don't you go and play with your dolls with uncle Blaise" she smirked wickedly "and you tell him that if he doesn't go with you then you'll tell daddy what he did" the girl laughed hysterically before going into the living room, whispering something in Blaise's ear and then dragging the scowling man off.

Marcus Flint came out of the kitchen "what have you done this time Em?" He laughed at her innocent expression

"Marcus Flint!" She said indignantly "I'm not always scheming you know!" She waved her finger at him comically

"Yes you are" a very pregnant Katie Bell, well now Katie Flint waddled out behind her husband. "But we love you for it"

Emerald winked at her before continuing "so why are we all here?" She asked in confusion "it's been like wizarding Kings cross in here"

They had all received an owl telling them to be at Flints house noon that day and it was almost packed already

Blaise and his girlfriend Luna Lovegood were sat on one of Flint's plush sofa's with Luna talking animatedly to the women in the room, Blaise had been slumped back with his arm around the blond girl, a glass of firewiskey in his other hand, that was before of course he had been dragged off to play tea parties. They had got together a few weeks after their seventh year had ended and had been strong ever since. Luna had even moved into Zabini's fancy apartment which just so happened to be a five minute walk from Emerald's house. Emerald and Blaise had remained inseparable of course.

Neville sat next to Harry on the floor, Emerald had been thrilled to still keep in touch with them, Neville's had now gotten a job teaching Herbology at Hogwarts and had married his seventh year sweetheart Hannah Abbot, Harry had done what everyone had been expecting him to do and had gotten a job as an auror under Kingsley Shacklebolt, His own wife Ginny was stood in the kitchen with Katie chatting away about baby clothes

Draco had been invited but hadn't shown up, after the war there was a trial to which he had been found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to three months in Azkaban. He was different now, more reserved and quiet. He saw  Flint a few times since the sentence ended but that was it. His father has been sentenced to the Dementors kiss which had in turn result knocked all the life out of his wife Narcissa. They were shells of their former beings but thanks to their pride wouldn't let anyone in to help. Emerald couldn't help but feel sorry for them

"Oi Em?" Marcus called "when's your brother getting here with his new girlfriend?" Emerald shrugged

"He's using the floo from France so your guess is as good as mine" she told him, noticing the mischievous glint in his eye

"What?" She asked suspiciously, he just shook his head

"Nothing Em" he chewed his lip "nothing at all"

She narrowed her eyes at him "definitely not being strange" she said sarcastically. He grinned

"What about your Theo?" He asked and she shrugged once more

"Said he needed to get something he'll be back soon" she assured her friend. Flint grinned like a Cheshire Cat and waltzed off before she could probe him any further
