The halls of Hogwarts was buzzing with talk of the infamous yearly Room Of Requirement party. They were infamous for their messy nature, lots of alcohol, dancing and general drunken activities were taken part in , For Emerald it couldn't have come at a better time, she needed a distraction and right now a bottle or two of firewiskey was exactly what the doctor ordered
The students sat restlessly through the school day, eagerly chatting with their friends about what they were going to wear and what they were going to drink, the first ,second and third years watching from the sidelines wistfully as they awaited their fourth year when they would be invited too.
Emerald's last class was transfiguration then after dinner they would have only an hour to get ready, she drifted out of focus on the babbling Professor Trelawney, wondering why Blaise hated them so much, they couldn't be that bad right?
"Psst Em" Pansy nudged her friend making her swirl back to reality
"Hmm what sorry I was in another world" she apologised smiling cheekily "what's up?"
"Mind showing me how those muggle coil iron things work for tonight?" She pleaded "your hair always looks so good when you do it"
Emerald smiled "you mean the curling iron?" And Pansy nodded eagerly "of course I can, while you're at it I'll even let you borrow my makeup too" Pansy beamed
"I'm so excited" she said gleefully "what are you going to wear?"
Emerald laughed " I haven't got that far probably just the first dress I pull out of my suitcase" she grinned at Pansy's shocked expression
"I have been planning my outfit for months and you're just going to pull a dress out your suitcase!" She whisper yelled
"Yep" Emerald smirked, "you'll have to wait and see, What's Maya doing?"
Pansy scrunched her nose up "ugh she's getting ready in Goyle's room because apparently she'll die if they don't spend every second with each other" she rolled her eyes
Emerald laughed at her behaviour, she was such a drama queen, suddenly she felt something hit her on the side of her head and she saw a scrunched up ball of paper, she unravelled it and read its contents to Pansy in a hushed whisper
'Hey princess ,don't wear anything too nice ,wouldn't want it ruined after being left on my bedroom floor;)'
Fred Weasley
The girls sniggered to each other ,Emerald sending Fred a playful wink across the classroom, making him laugh ,he always jokingly flirted with her, she usually laughed it off, they were just friends and he knew that, it was just funny to watch George's mouth fall open at their interactions.
"Em you might wanna stop that" Pansy hushed still giggling "I think someone about to get their face bashed in"
Emerald followed Pansy's eye line to see Theo staring at Fred with hard eyes , if looks could kill.......Emerald laughed, she knew how much Theo hated Fred ,after he knocked him off his broom once in a Quiddich match. Of course she didn't realise the real reason the Slytherin was so angry at the ginger boy....
The lesson came to an end and the girls left rapidly making their way down to the great hall to shovel some food down before rushing off the get ready, they were currently sat in the girls dorm trying out makeup looks.
"No ,no ,no this stupid charm is all wrong" Pansy huffed ,she currently had thick black smudges running over the top of her eyelid, angry that Emerald's eyeliner was so delicate and smooth "what charm did you use?" She rambled
