"Even when the four seasons change, I don't."
-Blackpink, "Hope Not"

I'm doomed. I sit in the banquet hall with all the Choi's, trying to keep my eyes on the plate in front of me- but when the royals in the textbooks I used to read in middle school keep staring over me, I can't help but want to pass away. (Would it be funny if I said "like them"?)

"So, Youra, you must've traveled so far to get here..."

"Ah, yes..." It wouldn't be a lie, I'd say. I did travel from the present to get to the past, and now I'm stuck here to finish off my old life. I must've traveled back before the princes had spouses and the king had died. Isn't that nice? That means whatever my past character was, she doesn't seem to live here. I am the one who is reliving her life and making new decisions for her.

What will I call her? Past Min Youra? Little Youra? So many nicknames for just one girl- or should I say, just one life? Joke.

"I've heard from Yeonjun that you're his concubine for the time being. Are you aware of that?" Queen Choi asks me, making me glance up. I meet Yeonjun's eyes as he sits in front of me, awaiting my answer. The boy looks troubled- possibly even wound up by my silence. I'd love to keep playing this game with him, but I'm afraid I'll be sentenced to death if I don't speak up now.

"I'm aware, and I will take it with great responsibility," I respond, keeping eye contact with a now-flushing Yeonjun, the boy that was once staring back at me now as his eyes on his food. I grin to myself, looking at Queen Choi. "During my stay here, do you need me to do anything? I'll feel bad not helping out around the palace."

"Oh! That's not needed-"

"No, I insist-" I plead, looking at her with concern in my eyes in an attempt to coax her. "I do feel bad just walking about the palace with nothing to help with."

"Well, if you insist-" King Choi speaks up, grinning at me. "Seungwan will tell you if she needs any help, won't you, Seungwan?"

"Yes, King Choi, I will tell her if I need anything."

"Then, that's all. Just make sure to keep my sons and daughter-in-law safe since you are a deity, and we will have no misunderstandings." King Choi grins, standing up. "That is all. Whenever you are done, you can leave."

King and Queen Choi exit the room- leaving me and the four princes with Seungwan. I finish my food, wiping my face with the cloth before standing up. "Oh, you're done?" Yeonjun asks, standing up swiftly. I hesitate to say something at his quick movement, so I simply nod. He smiles before beckoning to the doors, making me nod once again. He must be up to something.

However, Chanyeol grabs my arm, holding me from leaving the table. His eyes don't meet my gaze, instead, he's staring back at Yeonjun. "Wangseja, don't you know you trouble us with not bestowing the deity with the rest of us? I mean, I know she's your concubine, but why are you gatekeeping her?"
