"Make your rainfall, cry for me."
- TWICE, "CRY FOR ME"

"Ah, you're finally here! Chanyeol told me of your "making out" with Yeonjun!"

"Where did you learn that term?"

"Seungwan told me about it!" Seungcheol cackles, holding his stomach as he leans back in his seat. "She also told me to hand this to you." Seungcheol gives me the book, tapping the cover. "She practically had to snatch out of Sana's grasp! It was a funny sight to see. So, go ahead and read it, and when you're done, please come help us."

"No problem!" I smile, taking his seat, opening the book.

"It seems that we've made it to the ending, to the most thoughtful, thought-out, and thoughtless part of a book. Yeonjun and Youra have made it so far, don't you think? Their love is well-planned but unusually unwell. Youra still has her eyes on helping the people who deserve it, but her heart still strives to keep her Prince around.

"What do you think I should do, Eunwoo?"

"Why ask me? I'm not your lover."

"But Sana will do anything for you, you know," Youra answers, chuckling. "Even if you don't want to be with her, she loves you more than Yeonjun and I could ever love each other. I know you will never accept her- but you can give her the change of heart."

"Like you, she is affected by the words of the world. Nobody will become in charge of her until the whole world asks her to."

"Affected by the world... you're saying she's only like this because of the voices in her head?"

"Kind of," Eunwoo explains, shaking his head. "She listens to her mother because her mother listens to the opinions of others. If she manipulates her daughter into believing everyone else told her so, then she will. Just... like you."

"What-"

"You should stop believing you are given this horrible misfortune, you know?" Eunwoo interrupts her, leaning back on the wall as he spins his sharp sword in trust. "You are just believing in other's words."

"My misfortune is none of your business-"

"Soon it will be... once it is announced to the world of your quote-on-quote... bad luck."

"Youra! Eunwoo!" Chanyeol screams, causing the two to jolt up. "Hurry! Sana's causing chaos by calling people to the palace! She has Yeonjun hostage!"

And as they look at each other in panic, it was true: This misfortune was about to get a lot worse."

Why isn't there another page? Is that the end?! I turn the singular page, seeing no blank one behind it. Cussing under my breath, I slam the book closed, holding my head.

That can't be the end. Not when I haven't redeemed myself. Time is running out. I only have a few days left, I'm sure of it. I've had too much fun and I'm wasting time. Gosh, this is how you know I have bad luck. I'm so mindless!

"Damn it," I utter, standing up as Seungcheol watches with a raised eyebrow. "Seungcheol, when is Yeonjun's coronation?"

"The midday after tomorrow, why?" Great. Just great. So I have a day and a half to get my crap straight? Without a proper ending? Great. I can't even fix Min Youra's true legacy. I can't help her become a better person for the one she loved- and I am only betraying her.

I just wish I could go back and time and start over. I wish I was in Seoul with my mother, laughing about my horrible misfortune and the bad days I had at work. Yet, as I check that leaf ring on my finger, I feel like crap. The guilt, the pity, the worth... it's overwhelming to know I will betrayal him in the end.

Does this mean I pick her ending? I pick what she wants me to do despite knowing I need her words more than anything? Min Youra... this is pain, don't you know?

I'm sure you do. So please, one more page... one more end- because if anything, you are the one writing this book. You are the one who brought me back here, trying to make me realize who I really am despite our inner setback, right? Our misfortune. How unfortunate it is to live in this world without anything to look forward to, to find out why we're here.

People like us never thought we'd make it.

But like you and I, Min Youra, we are people who wished we didn't have this chance.

"Youra, come on, I need you to help me figure this out!"

"Oh, coming."

I trudge over in a sulk, reading the papers. Seungcheol watches me intensely but I try not to stare back. It's quite unsettling, though. "Youra, have you been okay recently?"

"Are you trying to insinuate I'm going mental?"

"Nope."

"Well, I've been doing fine, thank you," I reply, fixing the historian papers by time period as if I took Ho Seok's brain or something. He'd kill me if he saw me doing this like an idiot. "Why are you asking? Something on your mind?"

"More like something's on your mind. You read that book 24/7- and from what I've seen, you're not the Joseon literature type- which means you don't like reading books from around here. What interests you about it?"

"Nothing much- I'm just trying to get some knowledge while I'm here," I respond, pausing as I give him a glance to the floor. "Say, Seungcheol, what is Yeonjun truly like?"

"Whenever he's with you, that's who he is. An idiot."

"Not like that, Seungcheol, don't say that," We both snicker at each other's words, causing me to shake my head. "Before I met him, what was he like?"

"Well..." He scrunches his nose, tapping his lips with his fingers. "He's always been quite curious, it's a surprise he never knew he was a eunuch's son. He's always loved traveling, so we always did. We'd go out to rivers, to mountains- just for him to feel free. Terribly, mother and father pitied him. Of course, father did the most- It's not often you see a son from another father become the Crown Prince, you know? Not around here..."

"I can tell," I chuckle, shaking my head. "Seungcheol... I want to apologize."

"For what? Nothing is your fault."

"Just... for the things I didn't mean to do."

He huffs, shaking his head. "Don't worry about your apologies, I forgive them! You're my best friend. Moving on, I agree with Seungwan. Stop pretending that your "misfortune" is the cause of everything."

"She told you?"

"Seungwan told me, yes. Only that part- because if I asked anymore, she was about to beat me up!"

"She's smart, isn't she? Do you find interest in her?"

"I do, but like Yeonjun... some of us are dumb," He rolls his eyes, frowning. "Speaking of which, you're as smart as that Seonbi..."

Speak of the devil!

"Get to work-" Someone enters the historian room, causing Seungcheol and me to turn around. I widen my eyes as I see Ho Seok with Seungwan, Seungcheol smirking as we watch them in interest. "Uh..."

"In love, much?"

"Shut up!"

- we're slowly saying goodbye to our princes :(
