Filled with the thoughts of unluckiness, all her life she's believed she has no fortune. Stuck with those thoughts and an unfinished past, she's sucked into centuries before- given the chance to rewrite a doomed fate. With a few princes and some swo...

"breathe in, breathe out." - GOT7, "Breath"
"I thank you so earnestly for such an amazing meal," I tell Yeonjun. "During my stay, I will be eating there more often."
"It's only such a prince's work to help the ones he rules over." He boasts, making me roll my eyes. As if you rule over me, silly. I'm from the future- what we have is called a democracy. You discuss with your citizens, but it seems you love stealing the show. Would be a wonder to see what people in my life think of you...
"Min Youra," Someone speaks the moment Yeonjun and I step out of the restaurant, my head immediately turning. It's the scholar, Shin Ho Seok. "Is there a chance we may speak at this time of day?"
I look towards Yeonjun, who didn't seem to mind until... "Alone, I must mention." The prince's eyebrows furrow, crossing his arms. "Now, Seonbi, what will you do with my visitor here? It's her first day in Joseon, and you want to dilly-dally around with her about serious topics?"
"I would inform you more upon this matter, dear prince, but it would only surprise you of a future." I immediately swing my head back to Ho Seok, who tries to blow my cover! What the heck...
"Do not worry, I will be back," I say hurriedly, smiling sheepishly. "If anything, just meet me outside your palace gates- or I mean, I'll meet you outside the palace gates..." I nod rapidly, pushing Ho Seok to start moving. "Let's go!"
Before Yeonjun can respond, Ho Seok and I are out of the frame, leaving him alone by himself. We're walking a little bit, admiring the beautiful trees and the marketplace that bestows in front of us. I take a quick, distant glance at Ho Seok- who narrows his eyes and bats his eyelashes at a few decorative fans. "So, what did you come all this way for? We already met a few hours ago."
"Why are you here?" He freezes his words a bit, his eyes searching for an answer in mine. "I mean, I may come off a bit harsh, but that does not hinder my question. Why have you come so far away from the present?"
"I'm unsure too... I got into a car crash, and now I'm here."
"Ah, so luck has brought you here?" Ho Seok laughs with a hint of curiosity in his tone, smacking his fan closed. "Just when I believed that fortune was never on your side, it had brought you here to prevent you from dying or getting hurt. Seems like you have unfinished business before you die."
"Die?" I am completely baffled, my hands starting to tremor thanks to the fear of such... irresponsible thoughts. "Was I really... in that bad of a condition? Or am I that terrible?"
"How do I know? You're still alive and you've been transported here," He tells me, shrugging. "If anything, something from your past must be holding you back. It's time we find out what it is... somehow."
"How were you transported here, Ho Seok?" He stops, making me halt as well. "Why have you chosen to stay here when you could live happily?"
"How do you know I'm from the future- well, the present?"
"When you told me about using modern-name calling..."
"And you still aren't accustomed to it, hm?" Ho Seok laughs, crossing his arms. "I mean, you have guts to call the Wangseja his first name. "Yeonjun"? how... how funny." I roll my eyes, crossing my arms as well.
"You still haven't answered my question, Seonbi," I smirk, making him face me. He sighs out beckoning me to follow him. So, I do- and we make our way towards a patch of grass, a bench so neatly created that I start to think he built it himself. We sit down and watch the townspeople pass by, waiting for his words.
"I... probably have the same fortune as you, but I've been doomed to stay here," He speaks, placing his fan next to him. "I was supposed to help the king die, as it was his fate. However, he's alive and healthy- and caused a drought. His fortune is nothing far from both of ours, yet got blessed to become the king."
"What about Yeonjun?"
"His fortune is far better than his father's, but that isn't the point," Ho Seok mentions, sighing roughly. "I was... bullied. I was a high school student only a few years ago, and I was the one who always got picked on. Here, I was safe and favored for my excellence in wisdom, and I wasn't hurt here. That's why I'm staying here. Plus, it's not like I can leave either- if you don't finish what has been done, you can't leave, unless of a special circumstance."
"What's the circumstance?"
"If you twist your fate, you can leave. However, you still must complete...it."
"What's it? Besides that, this sounds like a generic story."
"You may think so, but it's tougher than it seems," Ho Seok says. "Plus, it's not every book you see the proper fate twisted. It's a wonder you don't know what it is but I do."
"Can you tell me?!" I say in awe, trying to coax him. However, with the look on his face and his (still) crossed arms, there's no convincing him. "Good try, Youra, but I was told to let you figure it out on your own. However, I am allowed to give you some clues." He sits still for a moment, and I watch him. He breathes softly in and out, admiring the horizon line and the glorious sun that is raised in the pastel blue sky.
"Interesting events, interesting indeed..." I hum, looking at him. "Who helped you figure 'it' out? Did they do it first? Are they still alive? Did they even do something to earn the specific title? Did they-"
"Stop asking such frivolous questions, will you?!" He sighs out in verbal frustration, massaging his temples with his hands. "Listen, they're my age and no, she wasn't from our age. She's an assistant for the king, and I haven't seen her since they inaugurated her into the palace. I..."
"You loved her, right?" I smirk, seeing him smile sadly. "She must've been a treasure, then."
"She was, indeed," He tells me, uncrossing his arms and letting them settle beside him. "I wish I could thank her for all that she's done for me- but to my failed quest, I was so embarrassed. I tried to impress her, to show her I was stronger than this... the scary place that has now become my home... but it was too late. I was simply a failure."
"You don't know that... I mean..." I try to console him, seeing the frown on his face. "Everything happens for a reason, don't you think? If you truly were supposed to be together- time will find its way to bring you both back together."
"I guess." He has a small smile now, and it makes my day. I want to help him in any way I can- especially because he's helping me. I'm doing it in return, and if I can get those two together, set them up, and have them romancing, then that's perfect. I may be altering history- but history can fix it up themselves if they think my choices are wrong... which they shouldn't be wrong, actually, if they brought me here.
His ears perk up slightly, his eyes smiling with a hint of glee... unless it's a trick. "Yeonjun is searching for you. You better hurry before he makes the guards chase after you and charges me with kidnap." I snap my fingers, nodding. We both get up, and I'm wiping off my hanbok as he grabs his fan.
"Bye, then!" I say happily, grabbing his arm and putting it up in the air. He looks at me questionably, furrowing his eyebrows. I give him a high-five, giggling slightly.
"What was that for?"
"Teamwork, plus-" I nudge him slightly, smirking. "I need some reassurance now and then that I'm from the twenty-first century. See you around!" I see a slight smile rise on his face as I pass by, walking towards the large palace you can see very well from afar. Skipping towards it, I see Yeonjun pacing around the dust, stepping back and forth, and back and forth, and-
"There you are!" Eunwoo yells out from the palace gate, Yeonjun immediately looking his way then towards me. Eunwoo walks towards me- but Yeonjun's sprinting. Stopping in front of me, I take a look at Eunwoo, who's just as startled as I am.
