"Why are we here?" Ava groaned as Cait drug her out of the car reluctantly.
"Seriously, Tabs birthday is tomorrow and I can think of a million other things I need to do other that be drug off to some random destination by you." She said in annoyance
"Okay, one, rude. Two, you'll thank me later." Cait smirked as she shoved Ava into the dark room and pulled the door shut behind her
"What the actual fuck?" She mumbled under her breath as she momentarily panicked before the lights flashed on to reveal Owen standing in the middle of a completely decorated rink, Christmas lights twinkled everywhere.
Owen stood clad in a warm gray sweater and white scarf with ice skates already tied to his feet.
"What is this?" She asked, her heart aching at the gesture but she was still hurt.
"I promised to take you ice skating didn't I?" He said with a small smile as he scrambled over to her, nearly falling several times in the process.
"Actually you promised to take Tabs skating." She said plainly causing him to sigh.
"Which I will, after I make up with her mom first." He said with a small smirk
"I don't understand, why go to all this trouble?" She asked
"Because you're worth a little trouble alright Ava, do I have to say it?" He asked as she smiled softly
"Say what?" She asked innocently
"I like you Ava, I have for awhile now and I only went on that date to get you out of my head but guess what? I don't want you out of my head, you live there, rent free as they say and I would very much like to take you on a date." He said causing her face to light up at his confession
"A date?"
"A date. Like right now actually." He said as he passed her the other pair of skates.
"And Sabrina?" She asked
"Means nothing. She kissed me and it just made me realize how much I needed you." He smiled
"So?" He asked as he extended his hand to her
"It's a date." She confirmed as she pulled her skates on and skated after the blonde boy
