[INT. LIVING ROOM - 7:14 PM]

[LOUIS sits quietly on the couch. His legs are tucked underneath him, and his phone lights up his face. The TV in front of him provides comfortable background noise. He keeps his eyes locked on the screen in his hands when HARRY stumbles through the door]

LOUIS: (unimpressed) "Welcome home."

[HARRY ignores him and shrugs his coat off. He places it in the closet before entering the kitchen]

LOUIS: (mumbled) "Happy anniversary to you too."

[LOUIS pushes himself off the couch, leaving his phone in his place. He slowly makes his way into the kitchen]

[INT. KITCHEN - 7:23 PM]

[HARRY is observing the cup of tea in his hands, ignoring the way LOUIS is frowning at him. LOUIS steps over to him and attempts to touch HARRY's arm. HARRY moves away]

LOUIS: (in an attempt to ease the tension) "How was work?"

HARRY: (uninterested) "The same. We did some more recording."

[LOUIS nods in understanding and then leaves the room. HARRY stares back at his cup, this time focusing on his hands. His rings seem to weigh down on his fingers]

LOUIS: (re-entering the room with a white rose in his hand) "I got you this. It's not much, but I thought it would fit because of, you know, our first date? When you gave me that white rose on my doorstep? I just wanted to bring it all full circle because ten years is--"

HARRY: (blunt) "Yes, thank you."

[HARRY nods towards the counter, urging LOUIS to put it down. LOUIS obliges and gasps when HARRY sweeps it into the sink]

LOUIS: (irritated) "Are you serious?"

HARRY: (pouring the rest of his tea down the drain) "I'm going to bed."

LOUIS: (grabbing HARRY's arm) "No, you are not."

[The two glare at each other before HARRY leans back against the counter. LOUIS shuts his eyes and tries to form his words. HARRY sighs]

HARRY: (bored) "Can we do this tomorrow?"

LOUIS: (upset) "No, because by tomorrow you'll be working again, and we'll be right back where we started. We're doing this now. What is your problem?"

HARRY: (with objection) "My problem? I'm the one working all the time while you sit around doing who knows what!"

LOUIS: (in shock) "I had to leave my job back home and move here with you, and then you told me not to worry about working because you had it handled with your music!"

HARRY: "No one told you to agree to come with me. If you weren't here, I would get so much more done. Sometimes you just need to get out of my way and let me do my thing."

LOUIS: (in disbelief) "I have been on your side since day one. We were best friends, Harry. And then you showed up at my door with that stupid rose, and now we're arguing in our kitchen. I understand that you have a lot to do--"

HARRY: "Do you?"

LOUIS: "--but I won't let you push me around because you're stressed. Honestly, I don't even think you care where we're headed."

HARRY: (scoffs) "What?"

LOUIS: "When was the last time we were us? Ever since we've moved here, we've gotten so detached from each other. We work around each other all the time, and I can't even remember the last time we fell asleep together."

HARRY: "We've just been busy."

LOUIS: "No, you've been hiding away in your studio because you didn't want this talk. You saw it coming. You wrote about it. You wrote songs about our miscommunication, and instead of trying to fix it with me, you ran away like we were sixteen again!"

[HARRY stares in shock at LOUIS, wondering how he knows so much]

LOUIS: (bitterly) "And now you look surprised. I can't believe you look surprised. I've known you since we were in primary, and you don't think I know you. I know you better than you know yourself! I know how many times you need to play a song before you get sick of it, and I know how stressed you are by how much coffee you drink in the morning and how you used to love me back when we were eighteen before we moved to this stupid city!"

HARRY: (speechless): I--"

[LOUIS exhales and wipes hastily at his eyes. HARRY can see the tears staining his cheeks. The room goes silent]

[INT. BEDROOM - 8:12 PM]

[LOUIS sits on their bed with his head in his hands. The knocks on the door go unnoticed to him as he's focused on the conversation from earlier. HARRY pushes the door open and frowns]

HARRY: (softly) "Lou?"

LOUIS: (startled) "Yes?"

HARRY: (sincerely, situating himself next to LOUIS) "I'm so incredibly sorry for everything. The way I've been treating you for the past, oh my God, year, hasn't been, and never will be, okay. I took my frustrations out on you and continued to push you away, which I understand now has been horrible for you, and you didn't deserve it. I'm so sorry."

[LOUIS looks towards his boyfriend and sighs. He gets up and adjusts his position to be under the covers]

LOUIS: (halfheartedly) "C'mere."

[HARRY reluctantly slips in beside LOUIS]

LOUIS: (closing his eyes) "Tomorrow, we fix it."

HARRY: (nodding to himself) "Tomorrow."

LOUIS: "Goodnight. I love you, Harry."

HARRY: (shyly) "I love you. Goodnight."
