Day 3
"Hey hey hey! Sonju~ Where are you taking my Sunshine?" [Y/N] asked
Sonju flinched at the girl's sudden appearance before explaining "We have to go up to the surface and cross the river up ahead. So I'm going to scope out the area first."
"Hm~ and what about you, Sunshine? Wanna tell me why you're tagging along with Sonju?"
"Uh.. I just wanted to see the outside..." Emma stuttered
"Don't lie to me, hun. You want to go outside and practice actual hunting, right?" [Y/N] guessed
"How do you know-" Emma started only to get cut off.
"Don't underestimate me, Em, I've been watching you being all antsy. You do know that Gilda won't be happy if she found out about you trying to tire yourself out once again." [Y/N] hummed
'I thought that she's just an annoying kid but now, she's being responsible and taking care of her siblings.' Sonju thought in amazement, the image of the girl starting to change in his mind.
"Please don't tell her!" Emma pleaded
"Hm... I won't but only if you agree to my this one condition." [Y/N] stated
"What is it? I'm willing to agree to it!"
"You'll have to take me with you to the surface!" she squealed
'No, my image of her at the beginning was correct.' Sonju sweat dropped 'Yup, she's just annoying and nothing else.'
"Sonju! Please~" Emma turned to the demon friend of theirs with her best puppy eyes.
"... Fine." he sighed before adding "But stick with me or him and don't stray away, okay?" Sonju pointed towards the demon horse.
"Yes!" both the girls chirped with cute smile adorning their faces.
"By the way, Sonju, how do you know that he is he and not a she?" [Y/N] asked the demon while pointing at the horse like creature.
"Okay, maybe I should not let you join us." Sonju frowned
"No! Gilda will kill me!" Emma said, remembering the condition set by [Y/N]
"Not my problem." He replied
"You can't just go back on your words!" Emma was desperately trying to save herself from Gilda.
"Yeah!" [Y/N] agreed, seeing that her chances of joining them was narrowing down.
"I choose what I want to do." Sonju stated firmly
"Hm~ So you can't even handle a 12 year old? Tsk tsk tsk how pathetic, Sonju..." [Y/N] chimed
"Ok, fine." Sonju said to save his pride before it could get butchered by the young girl, for she would definitely announce the news to everyone one. 'Sonju can't handle a 12 year old!' he'll never hear the end of it. "You can join." He huffed
"Yay!" Emma and [Y/N] shared a high-five.

"Whoa!" both the girls gasped in amazement, natural sunlight finally hitting them after 3 days of wandering in the underground cavern with Sonju and Mujika. The river in front of them glistening due to the soft sun rays hitting it.
"The river isn't that deep. The water's deep but you guys can cross it on foot. The issue is your pursuers." Sonju informed "Are there pursuers near you? If there are, how do you run away."
