BONNIE'S POV

It took me a long time to explain everything to everyone even though it wasn't that big of a story. It just hurt me knowing that I left the two people I loved the most behind. I just finished the last detail which was the part about Kai and his not-so-there-anymore humanity. We were all sitting and standing in the living room.

"Here you go. I know you need it." Damon says, handing me a glass of bourbon.

"Thanks." I whisper, my voice scratchy. Alaric and Jeremy had left already. They had their own place. Stefan and Caroline stood up.

"We're going to bed, we'll see you guys in the morning." Stefan says as he links his hand with Caroline. They're so fucking cute. They better get married. Elena stands up after a few minutes.

"I'm going to bed, too." Elena states, but she stands there, waiting for Damon. He holds his finger up as he sits down next to me.

"I'll be there in a minute, baby." He says softly. Elena walks to their bedroom.

"You should go to bed with Elena. I'm fine, really." I state, staring at the bourbon.

"We both know you're not." Damon responds. I sigh and nod.

"I feel like we've lost Elle forever. And I know that eventually everything will be fine, but I just can't live with myself knowing that I left them there. Now, Kai doesn't have his humanity and everything is fucked up. Kai was the only person who would have been able to turn Elle's humanity on and vice versa. We're absolutely fucked, and it's all my fault." My voice cracks as I blame myself.

It's true. Everything I say is true. If I wouldn't have ran out of that motel room, maybe Kai would still have his humanity. Damon pulls me into him, hugging me.

"You know it's not your fault, Bonnie. We will somehow find a way through this. No matter what. And I will always have your back, no matter what," Damon reassures me, pulling back to look at my face. "You look tired. Let's go to bed."

I give him a small nod. He leads me to my room, making sure I get in bed and everything.

"Goodnight, Bonnie. I love you." He says.

"I love you, too." I respond with a smile. He smiles back.

"We'll figure this out, okay?" He asks. He looks a little bit worried.

"Okay." I reply with a small nod. He turns the lights off, shutting the door afterwards. I turn on my side.

I need Elle and Kai to be fine until I get to them. Until I find them. And that's the number one thing I can be sure of.

That I will find them.

NO PERSPECTIVE

Kai opened his eyes back up to face Elle and Brandon. Elle could see the flash of darkness in his eyes.

They were finally on the same page.

Brandon clapped his hands together.

"I'm so excited that you finally have no humanity, Kai. It took you quite a long time to quit the whole hero act." He said with a smile. Kai scoffed under his breath.
