George Weasley exhaled a dramatic sigh as his chin dropped into the palm of his hand. If you traced the line of sight from his pouty, doe eyes, it would lead straight to Y/N Y/L/N – the most beautiful girl in seventh year, according to George. She was absolutely ethereal in his mind. Soft locks of hair fell delicately, pushed back lightly behind her ear by her dainty fingertips. George found himself chewing on his bottom lip, wondering what it would be like to hold her hand in his.

Beside him, his twin mocked his dramatic sigh before shoving George's shoulder.

"Could you be more pathetic, mate?" Fred quipped.

George rolled his eyes, "Shove off."

Lee snickered from in front of them.

"Keep staring and you just might burn holes right through her pretty little head."

Lee slapped his hand over his mouth to ensure his bark of laughter wouldn't escape.

George didn't reply, he only sighed and glanced down. His eyes scanned over the passages in his book he was supposed to have read by now, before giving up and looking straight back to the angel across the room.

Fred huffed at his brother's behavior. He was surely whipped at this point, he thought.

"Look, I'm just saying you might actually get somewhere with her if you stopped staring at her like a creep and actually talked to her."

"Bad idea, mate." Lee pursed his lips.

The twins looked to him curiously and raised their brows, silently nudging him to continue.

"Just got her heart broken by Cormac a few days ago," Lee shook his head, "The git left her crying in the common room all evening."

George felt his jaw clench, but before his fist could follow suit, his eyes found her again across the room. He felt a pit in his stomach at the imagery of tears rolling down her cheeks, especially over someone like Cormac.

It had his head spinning at the thought. How could someone like Cormac, an idiotic bloke, even breathe the same air as someone like her. He had to be absolutely mental to screw up his chance with the most perfect girl. It had George thinking of all the things he would do if he was in Cormac's shoes. He'd be the best boyfriend he could be, the boyfriend that she deserved.

As if his twin was reading his thoughts, Fred perked up with a suggestion.

"You know," His brow quirked, "Now's your time to swoop in, show her what Cormac never could."

George bit his lip, glancing from Fred to Lee, hoping for a suggestive look that would give his input.

"You think so?" George tilted his head, "What if she hates me for it? I mean what if she thinks I'm just trying to... get in her pants or something?"

"Can't be worse than Cormac." Lee shrugged.

"As long as you're not a git about it, you'll be fine, Georgie." Fred winked at his twin, snickering with Lee as he turned his attention back to Y/N.

George quickly packed up his things once class ended and rushed towards the door, the sound of Fred and Lee muttering a sarcastic goodbye fading behind him. His long legs carried him out to the hallway, his tall figure towering over the other students as he scanned the crowd for a particular girl. He perked up as he saw her, slowing his stride to make it seem like he hadn't absolutely ran out of the classroom to catch up with her.
