The warmth of the joke shop engulfed you as you stepped through the door. It was a slower day of business for the shop, easy to understand considering how cold the past few days had been. You'd just returned from your lunch break, stepping out to grab coffee down at the new cafe in Diagon Alley.

George stood in the corner of the shop, helping a mother pick out a birthday present for her son. Fred was by the counter, sorting through a few envelopes.

"Any of those for me, Freddie?" You perked up, shrugging off your coat as you approached the older twin.

"Hmm, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes... Ah, Y/N Y/L/N," He tugged out a yellow envelope, and handed it to you, "Here you are, darling."

You playfully rolled your eyes at him and glanced down at the envelope in your hand. A gasp left your lips as you read the address.

"What is it?" George peeked around the corner, approaching you and Fred as the woman left the store.

"This is it, this is the letter." You spoke breathlessly, "Ilvermorny Healing Research Institute."

Your fingertips grazed over the gold lettering of the stamp in the upper right corner, mindlessly tugging your bottom lip between your teeth as anxiety filled your thoughts.

It was your dream to be a healer. You were on the right path during your time at Hogwarts, getting recommendations from Madam Pomfrey and studying hard to ace your exams. Although, as the wizarding war took over your first year after graduating Hogwarts, your time was needed elsewhere.

Fred and George were generous enough to give you a job at the joke shop until you were ready to pursue your career again. The war took a toll on everyone, and your best friends knew better than anyone that you weren't quite ready to leave after such a drastic event.

"Well," Fred scoffed, "Go on then, open it."

You huffed and slowly peeled at the paper opening, careful not to tear the somewhat sacred paper. Your heart skipped a beat as you noticed how dense the package was, more than just a paper or two. You glanced at George to your left, watching as his eyes widened and a smirk rose to his lips at the envelope before he looked at you. He sent you a wink that settled the nerves in your stomach, and you finally opened the letter.

Your eyes skimmed the first paragraph, looking for the words that would decide your future. You paused as you read them, swallowing thickly.

When you looked up with wide eyes, the twins were looking back at you in anticipation.

"I got in." You spoke quietly, a broad smile building on your face.

"You got in?" George perked up.

You nodded rapidly, "I got in!"

"That's my girl." George cheered, reaching down to swoop you into his arms in a tight embrace. He lifted your feet off the ground and spun you in a circle, smiling to himself as your laugh echoed in his ears.

Fred was quick to embrace you after George set you down. He pulled you in tightly to his chest, slightly crushing you in his brotherly embrace before pressing a sloppy kiss to your forehead.
