Like all other days of your sixth year at Hogwarts, your heart was pounding with fear in your chest and your palms grew sweaty with anxiety. It was only a few months prior you were at Bill and Fleur's wedding, wishing the newly wed couple a happy marriage before their ceremony was interrupted and Harry, Ron and Hermione were out with a flash. The sudden memories flashed behind your eyes, vivid and bold, but the agonizing anticipation for their return made it feel like years ago.

You clutched your stomach as you felt tears prick your eyes, quickening your step down the corridor. You had just finished a meeting with the DA, the sweat from your dueling still sticking to your forehead. You'd been quiet all morning through your classes and all through the afternoon through DA. There wasn't a particular reason other than the bubbling nerves in your chest, you'd unpurposefully snapped at Neville when he asked if you were alright, and figured a night alone in your dorm would serve you better than the great hall.

You sighed as you arrived at the portrait hole to the gryffindor common room, the Fat Lady looked upon you with a sad smile as you uttered the password and trailed inside. Luckily, all the students were away at dinner, leaving you to an empty common room. You collapsed onto the old, red couch, laying your head to rest on one of the old, worn out pillows.

A hint of relief overcame you as the weight in your chest lifted. Hogwarts wasn't the same as it was before, and any sliver of peace and quiet you could get, you cherished. It wasn't long before your eyes grew heavy and fluttered closed. Although as much as you wished for it, sleep never came, it didn't come that evening in the common room and it didn't come that night in your dorm.

You laid awake on your back, staring up at the ceiling, listening with envy to the sounds of your sleeping dormmates. You grinned softly to yourself as you caught sight of a dream catcher hanging on the corner of your four poster bed. It was a small circle, wound in white rope, three feathers fell from the ring, the bottoms dipped in red paint and splattered with gold to symbolize your house colors. It was a gift from Ginny, she had made it for you last summer when you'd stayed with her at the burrow.

"Can I look now?" You giggled to yourself, hands over your eyes.

"Be patient, for Merlin's sake."

The sarcasm dripping from Ginny's voice had you snorting, but you soon felt her bed dip from her weight as she joined you. You felt your breath hitch in her throat as hers fanned your cheeks, she was rather close and you were praying to Godric that as you bit your lip to contain a smile, that she would read it as an indication you were excited rather than flustered nerves.

"Alright, hold your hands out," Ginny chuckled, "But keep your eyes closed!"

"Okay, okay." You shook your head and held out your hands before you.

Your brows furrowed as you felt the tickle of a feather in your hands and the slight roughness of the rope. With a cautious gaze you opened your eyes, just in case Fred or George had persuaded Ginny into pulling a prank on you. But as you saw the circle outline and the three feathers, your heart grew warm at the sight of the delicate, and very obviously handmade, dreamcatcher.

"Oh, Ginny." You awed.

She bit the inside of her cheek, clasping her hands together as her eyes wandered your side profile, watching with a delicate gaze as you admired the gift she brought you. You were so enamoured with the little trinket that you hadn't noticed the hair slipping in front of your face. Without hesitation, Ginny reached forward and tucked the hair back behind your ear.
