Aurora knocked on the door lightly, hoping that they didn't hear her, so she could go home.

For the past few days, she had been contemplating in her head about how to act around Remus and his friends. She knew she couldn't be how she was in school, bitchy and distant. But she also wanted to be bitchy and distant.

Before she could think about it for any longer, the door was opened up, and Aurora was greeted with the kind emerald eyes of Lily Potter.

"Hi Aurora," She smiled gently. "We just finished breakfast. Do you want anything to eat?"

"Uh, no thanks. I ate before I came over," She said.

Lily started walking away towards the kitchen, so Aurora took it as an invitation to follow her through.

She closed the door behind her, and let her eyes wander around the hallway that was becoming so familiar to her. Nothing had really changed much. Only different shoes next to the door, and one or two new pictures on the wall. Everything about the Potter home, made it feel like a home - cosy and warm.

So wrapped up in her own thoughts, Aurora didn't notice that she had stopped following Lily, so quickly tried to reach the kitchen to make it seem like she never stopped.

When she entered the room, she heard the hushed whispers, and the clutter of plates being cleaned. Just like she had in the hallway, Aurora looked around the room, taking note of who was there. Well, at least she was, until her gaze landed on a brunette girl standing next to Sirius.

Aurora felt every bone in her body tense up, as if someone had petrified her. She hadn't expected to see Lois. Especially not at the Potters' house.

The two sisters stared at one another for what felt like hours to them, but was really only a few short seconds. Lois was the one to tear her eyes away first, feeling the pressure of her twin staring right at her, as if she could see into her soul. Aurora had always managed to do that. Her face would be blank, yet at the same time, painted with understanding and judgement. It had unnerved Lois as a child, and still unnerved her at 21 years old.

"Back from America?" Aurora asked, tilting her head condescendingly. She always enjoyed having the first and last word. It made the other person feel cowardly, wondering why it wasn't them who had spoken first.

Lois cleared her throat before speaking. "Yes. I am,"

"Heard it's nice there this time of year," Aurora said. She knew that her politeness was also unnerving her sister, as well as everyone in the room no doubt.

"Yes, it was quite nice,"

"Glad you enjoyed it,"

There it was. The last word to the conversation.

Aurora noticed her twin squeeze Sirius' hand lightly, maybe to comfort him, or warn him, Aurora wasn't sure.

"Do you always have to do that?" Lois asked, frustrated with her sister.

Aurora tilted her head yet again, as if she had no clue what Lois was talking about. But she did. "Do what?" She said sweetly, also knowing that it would only infuriate her twin more.

"You know exactly what," Lois snapped. And then she sighed. Lois didn't want to fight with her sister in front of her friends. "Can we go outside to talk?"

Aurora furrowed her brows together as if she was confused, but the smirk on her face gave her away. "Why?" She asked. "Don't want your friends to see how angry you can get?"

Instead of waiting for an answer, Aurora walked to the back door and opened it. "Come on," She said. "You wanted to go outside,"

So Lois followed her sister through the door, and now they were both surrounded in the cold wintry air of early April. Aurora quickly cast a warming charm on herself, knowing that she could be out there for a while and did not want to catch a cold. Lois swiftly copied her sister's actions and soon silence engulfed them.

"So I'm going to presume it's Sirius you're being forced to marry?" Aurora said, pleased again to have the first word.

"We're not being forced," Lois countered, but Aurora cut her off with a snort.

"Not being forced? If we weren't being forced I sure as hell wouldn't be marrying Lupin,"

"Why? Because he's a werewolf?" Lois inquired, knowing that her words would break her sister's controlling manner.

"Of course you would think that," Aurora spat. "Everyone thinks that, don't they? Because I, a Slytherin, am so prejudiced and closed minded that I have to be an asshole,"

Lois didn't respond to that. She waited to see what her sister would say next.

"I don't want to marry him, not because he's a werewolf, but because I can't stand the sight of him. And honestly, I can't stand the sight of you either," The harsh words stung Lois more than she would like to admit in that moment, but then her sister continued.

"Both of you place yourselves high up on this imaginary pedestal you have created, bringing your friends up there with you. And you instantly think that you're better than everyone else. Both you and him were prefects. And you let your friends humiliate other students, bully other students, without any repercussions. I had told you about the children I had to comfort that were in tears. But you obviously don't care!" Aurora was screaming now. The feelings she had built up for years, were finally coming out.

"And then, you have the audacity to ask me if I don't want to marry him because he's a werewolf! I'm not the prejudiced one that's going into this marriage. I'm not the prejudiced one in this house! All of you decided you hated Slytherins. Why? Because there are some bad people in it. Last time I checked, that doesn't make everyone an ass!"

Aurora now realised her throat was starting to hurt from all the screaming, so quickly turned around and headed into the house. All she wanted to do was get through the house, and leave. But of course she couldn't do that, could she?

Remus Lupin blocked her path in the kitchen, refusing to step aside. "Move Lupin," She gritted out through her clenched teeth.

"No," He folded his arms and stared down at the girl. His 6'3 towering her 5'7. "You don't have to be so nasty to your sister, you know,"

This statement flared Aurora's anger even further. "Me? Nasty to her? Maybe you should get your facts checked Lupin, because she is the one who didn't even attempt to speak to me for 5 years! And I'm not the one accusing her of being a prejudiced ass! She's yelling at me saying I don't want to marry you because of your condition!" Aurora was screaming so loud now, she was sure that even her sister in the back garden could hear her. "But that's what you all think, isn't it? Because what else is wrong with the perfect Remus Lupin?"

Aurora shoved Remus aside, and quickly headed out the front door, leaving a shocked Lupin in her wake.
