I was new to this high school, my dad was the new football coach, my mom the new super intendant. Great, senior year in a new place, in another state. I sighed, walking home at the end of the day. I was passing the football field when I saw the players surrounding a much smaller figure. Clothes were scattered on the ground and I could just make out the sound of someone begging them to stop. Some of the cheerleaders were watching as well laughing.

The typical bullys of the school. I ran over to the scene and pushed the ring leader to the ground. I was from New York and had a black belt. I saw the youngest kid in the school tied to the goal post naked. He was terrified. The sight sent rage through me. I took my jacket off and covered him. I turned back to the jocks. "Just what do you think you're doing?" I asked.

"Stay out of this," the ring leader said.

"If I were you I'd skuttle, my dad is the new coach, my mom the super indendant. Both will be hearing about this. This is a crime, wouldn't want to miss up your chances for a scholarship would we?"

"You wouldn't dare," the ring leader said.

"Try me, that goes for you too ladies, beat it." They all ran. "Ass holes," I muttered turning to the poor kid. I got the ropes undone at his wrists and handed him his clothes. "I'll let you get dressed," I said turning my back. Once he was dressed he pulled on my arm.

"Thank you," he said.

"You are most welcome kiddo. Let's get you home," I said. He took my hand and led the way to his house. Once there I promised to pick him up tomorrow. "Don't worry about those jerks, they won't be there tomorrow," I said as he headed inside.

The next day I picked him up and I could tell he was scared to go back. "Don't worry hun, they aren't there. My parents took care of it. They have to finish the school year at home and are no longer on the team." I kept my arm around him as we walked. I tried to distract him by asking about his favorite book but he wasn't talking.

When we got to the school he pulled away from me and threw up in the bushes. I knelt down next to him and rubbed his back. "Do you want me to take you home?" I asked.

"I can't," was all he said.

"I can take you to mine," I offered. He shook his head. When he was ready I helped him inside. ONce he realized they were in fact gone, he relaxed. I still stayed close to him through out the day. I had made a friend.
