A/N: I changed a few words in the song to fit the OC. I don't own the song or Newt.

Newt's POV

I walked into a bar with Jacob, we were supposed to meet Tina and Queenie. This was another underground club, one where wizards and no majs could come together. There was a girl playing the piano and singing when we came in. I couldn't see her in the low light but her voice sounded familiar. I looked around as Jacob and I sat, trying to find her.

"Newt, what are you doing?" Jacob asked me.

"I know that voice," I replied as Tina and Queenie sat beside us.

"There was a time when I was alone
Nowhere to go and no place to call home
My only friend was the man in the moon
And even sometimes he would go away, tooThen one night, as I closed my eyes."

I got up and moved around looking for the source of the singing. If I was right the voice belonged to a friend from school. She had tried to tell me that one day Leta would hurt me, get me trouble. After she told me that I had told her I didn't care to see her again. She had been so right. I had lost her as a friend, a week later I was expelled.

"I saw a shadow flying high
He came to me with the sweetest smile
Told me he wanted to talk for awhile
He said, "Peter Pan, that's what they call me
I promise that you'll never be lonely, " and ever since that dayI am a lost girl from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
"Run, run, lost girl, " they say to me
Away from all of reality."

I realized she was singing about herself, us. She was singing about what she had lost that day. She had been like me, able to connect to animals better than people and she was teased mercilessly for it.

"Neverland is home to lost kids like me
And lost kids like me are free
Neverland is home to lost kids like me
And lost kids like me are freeHe sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
Believe in him and believe in me
Together we will fly away in a cloud of green
To your beautiful destiny
As we soared above the town that never loved me
I realized I finally had a family
Soon enough we reached Neverland
Peacefully my feet hit the sand
And ever since that dayI am a lost girl from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
"Run, run, lost girl, " they say to me
Away from all of reality."

I felt bad for having told her I never wanted to see her again all those years ago. I watched her sing and play. A house-elf was playing with her. He was dressed nicely. I could hear her pain in her voice.

"Neverland is home to lost kids like me
And lost kids like me are free
Neverland is home to lost kids like me
And lost kids like me are freePeter Pan, Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling
Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook
Neverland, I love you so
You are now my home sweet home
Forever a lost girl at lastPeter Pan, Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling
Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook
Neverland, I love you so
You are now my home sweet home
Forever a lost girl at lastAnd for always I will sayI am a lost girl from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the woods
Always on the run from Captain Hook
"Run, run, lost girl, " they say to me
Away from all of realityNeverland is home to lost kids like me
And lost kids like me are free
Neverland is home to lost kids like me
And lost kids like me are free."

She got down from the small stage and walked toward me. "What are you doing here Newt?" she asked walking by me to the bar. "A shot of fire whiskey, straight please Mr. Calli," she said to the goblin behind the bar. It always surprised me that she could drink that stuff straight.

The goblin passed her the drink and she gave him some coins. "You haven't answered my question Newt and I have to go back up there in 5."

"I'm sorry," I said.

"A little late on that one. I tried to talk to you the day you left school. Why talk to me now, after 15 years?"

"Miss Lizzy, it's time," the house-elf said pulling on her sleeve.

"Thank you Felix, return to your seat Newt, your date misses you." With that, she turned her back on me.

Lizzy's POV

I had a few more hours of singing. I didn't want to do this. I could sing, so that's what I did to make money. I worked at this gross underground club called the Witch's Brew. As I was singing I saw a face I never thought I would see again, Newt. I ignored him and kept on singing. I had a break after this song. No doubt he would try to talk to me.

After he chatted to me I got back on my stage and started singing again.

Newt's POV

With the next song she sang, I knew she was talking to me, but I wasn't sure if she was asking for a reason to stay around with me or a reason to stay alive. Was I really the only friend she had?
