Review from last time:

Jacob's POV

Seeing Stella again was nice. She wasn't the worst vampire out there I guess. And I guess it was kind of cool how she wasn't afraid of werewolves. As the rest of the pack left I turned to look at her and my whole center shifted. Gravity was no longer holding me here. I was willing to be anything she needed; a friend, a brother, a protector. I had just imprinted.

Part 3

Jacob's POV

It had been a few days since the birth of the twins and Bella hadn't come to yet. I also hadn't seen Stella. Seth and Leah were obsessed with the babies. I never thought that would happen with Leah. She absolutely hated the Cullens because of what they were. It was strange to see her trying to be in their house. Carlisle was doing his daily measurements on the twins when I came in. "Has anyone seen Stella?" I asked.

"I think she went to Alaska to visit our cousins for a few days," Jasper replied.

"Do you know when she'll be back?" I asked.

"No, she didn't say," Jasper replied.

"Can I call her?" I asked.

"She left her phone," Edward said.

"And you just let her leave?" I asked.

"She's over 400 Jacob, she'll be fine," Carlisle replied.

~One week later~

Stella still hadn't come home and I was getting worried. Alice didn't see her future and she hadn't called.

Stella's POV

I hadn't been back to my coven for a few weeks now. After the birth of the twins, I needed some space. The house just kept getting more and more crowded. Maybe I should go find Alastor. He was a loner as well. He was one of Carlisle's friends, I had met him once. Some silent company would be nice.

~Just before Christmas~

Carlisle had turned up at Alastor's where I had been for about a week. Alastor was silent company. The Volutri was coming after my family because they thought the twins were immortal children. I had to go home. I went home with Carlisle and Alastor followed, agreeing to witness but he wouldn't fight if it came to that.

Once we got home I was approached by Jacob. "Stella, I need to talk to you."

"Actually using my name I see," I said.

"Please?" he asked.

"Whatever," I said following him. He went around the back of the house.

"Look, I'm sorry for how I've treated all these years. You've tolerated me and our differences confessed your love. I'd like to confess something to you, I imprinted on you."

"You expect me to just forgive you for the things that you've done? Over the years you've been horrible to me, called a filthy bloodsucker. Why should I believe I'm anything more than that to you?"

"YOu do know what an imprint is?"

"Yes, and if you had imprinted on me why would you have been so horrible?" I asked upset. If vampires could cry I would be sobbing.

"I only imprinted after the twins were born," he replied.

"You know I can't give you kids," I replied. If he chose me his bloodline would end.

"Seth and Leah will have kids, one of them can take over."

"We have plenty to sort out don't we?" I asked.

"Yes," he replied.

"Save Bella's ass then figuring out romance?" I asked.

"Same old same old," he replied.

I became the only vampire to live on the rez and be among the packs. This is where I belonged. I wasn't meant to be part of a coven, but part of a pack. I was supposed to run with wolves.
