*kinda short chapter. life's crazy and i can't write that much rn, but i wanted to update for y'all 💕*

Geoun glanced over to Chan as he drove, she always admired him from his passenger seat, but this time felt different, better. She looked down to their intertwined fingers on the center console and couldn't stop smiling.

As he slowed to a stop at a red light, Chan looked over to the girl next to him and smiled. He brought her hand up and kissed it softly while still smiling at her.

"So where are we going?"

Chan chuckled and shook his head. "It's a surprise, and you're not getting any other answer, babygirl."

Geoun's eyes widened at the name. It shocked her, but she liked it. It made her stomach do flips. She blushed and looked out the window.

"Sorry, was that too forward?" Chan nervously chuckled.

"N-no, I um. I liked it," Geoun shyly smiled.

Chan smiled too and accelerated as the light turned green. After another 10 minutes of driving in comfortable silence, aside from the music playing, Chan parked his car.

Geoun eagerly looked around but was completely confused.

"The woods?" She raised an eyebrow.

Chan chuckled and grabbed her hand as he pulled her with him. "We gotta walk a little bit, come on."

Geoun didn't mind the mini trek, because in about 30 seconds she could tell where Chan was taking her. As she walked through the last few trees, a clearing appeared and she could see the city below them.

The bright lights illuminated the night sky, and surrounded the city in a glow. The sounds of cars going here and there were distant, and not as annoying as in the city. And when she looked up, Geoun could see the sky even clearer than that night on the patio.

She smiled as she tried to count the stars and recognized the constellations. Geoun eventually looked over to Chan and saw him leaning against a big rock, and she walked towards him.

"This is beautiful, but why'd you bring me here?"

Chan smiled. "It's my thinking space. When I need a break from everything, I come up here. It helps me clear my head, calms me down when life gets too hectic. I've never had anyone I wanted to share it with, until now."

Geoun smiled softly at Chan as she moved in for a hug. He held her tightly and kissed her head. She laid her head on his chest and the couple just stood there for a few moments.

A sudden loud ringing ruined the moment and Geoun jumped as her phone buzzed in her back pocket. She saw Lisa calling but decided she'd talk to them later and declined the call.

As she put her phone away, her eyes met Chan's and they both smiled as Chan gently held her head and leaned in for a kiss. With one of his hands supporting her head, and the other around her waist, Geoun felt more safe and secure in Chan's arms than she ever had felt before. She could feel him smiling as he kissed her and when he pulled away, he was still smiling.

"Do we need to get back?"

"Um, I think my roommates are just curious how it's going. But they can wait. This is perfect, I don't want it to end."
