Chapter 13

Geoun looked around at everyone in the room and felt a little relieved when she spotted Chan in the corner. Jaebum's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Geoun, we've heard that Jungkook is getting bolder in how he approaches you. I know it doesn't seem that serious right now, but he's locked onto you as a target. In case you don't understand, when he targets people like this, he doesn't stop until their life is ruined. He bullies everyone, but only targets a few people. That night you embarrassed him at the party, that's why he's doing this." Jaebum's voice was soft and his face was full of concern.

"Geoun, we have all experienced his bullying, but not the severity that he's been using against you. We will do everything in our power to protect you," Jisoo smiled at Geoun.

"But you have to let us help," Yugyeom spoke up now. "Geoun we want to help. I know we won't be around 24/7, but I'm telling you. Jungkook is not someone that you can just risk it with. Especially when your safety is at stake. So next time we offer, you really shouldn't refuse it."

Yugyeom's voice rose a bit at the end surprising everyone in the room and caused Geoun to look down.

"I think what Yug was trying to say was that you shouldn't feel like we are trying to baby you. You're just one of us now. And we are a family. So we're willing to do whatever we can to keep you safe. But Yug was right. Jungkook isn't someone you should gamble your safety with. Please let us help, please," Rose's voice was so soft and she seemed hurt that Geoun was refusing help.

Everyone was quiet and all eyes were on Geoun as they awaited a response.

"Um, I never meant to make you guys feel bad. I don't feel right asking for help because I just met you guys. And I also don't want to be a helpless target. I want to be able to protect myself. I don't want to be dependent on others for my safety. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate it, I just want to be able to handle Jungkook without help," Geoun finally looked up and smiled at everyone in the room. "But I'll take your advice and help. I'm sorry for causing trouble."

Immediately everyone in the room smiled and moved in to hug Geoun. Well. Everyone except Yugyeom. He stayed in his corner, still pissed at how she rejected his sympathy earlier and getting even more pissed when he remembered how close she's gotten with Chan.

"Yay! Now that that's taken care of, time for the good news!" Lisa jumped up and pulled Geoun up with her.

"It's Friday! Which means..." Jennie joined in on Lisa's excitement.

"Party time!" Chungha finished her friend's statement and all the girls cheered.

"Huh? We, we just had a party though," Geoun looked around. 

"True true, but that was a school party, every friday night we all get together and have a mini party. A private party. Just us," Jackson smiled at Geoun as he wrapped his arms around Chungha.

"Optional drinking, games, food, movies, just some fun. It's kind of like a family night," Mark planted a kiss on Jennie's cheek as she giggled and hugged him.

"Oh, that sounds fun!" Geoun was getting excited about spending time with her new friends.

"Alright, well we're gonna go ahead and start getting ready. What kinda food you guys want?" Jaebum stretched and laughed when about 10 different food items were yelled at him. "Alright everyone text me what they want, I'll do my best. See you guys later!"

Jackson, Mark, Jennie, Jisoo, Chungha, and Youngjae followed him to help get everything ready. Jinyoung and Lisa left soon after to go shopping and soon it was just Rose, Chan, Yugyeom, BamBam, and Geoun.
