Chapter 31

HI!!! It's been a minute. Life's been crazy, work has been crazy. I got covid, but I'm okay. It was very mild and gave me a break from work. I'm sorry to anybody who's been waiting. This story makes me so happy and I love working on it, so I hope to update more often. Hopefully I'll have a new job soon and be able to work on other projects, like some requests I've received. (I'm so sorry to everyone waiting on me) Also, after a few years of not doing it, I finally entered my first and most successful book into the 'Wattys', soooo if you wanna help a girl out..... Anywho, enjoy loves!

Geoun stirred awake as she felt the bed dip beside her as the smell of fresh fruit, coffee, and pancakes filled her nose. She blinked a few times before her eyesight cleared and she saw Chan smiling at her with a tray of breakfast.

"Good morning babygirl," Chan leaned forward and kissed Geoun's nose as she sat up with a smile.

"What's all this for?" Geoun smiled as she grabbed her coffee and smelled it before taking a sip.

Chan shrugged his shoulders and smiled. "It's the last day before classes start back. And you've been working so hard all summer. I just wanted to do something nice for you," Chan leaned forward and placed a proper sweet kiss on Geoun's lips.

Geoun smiled as Chan stood up and turned on the TV before leaving the room and returning shortly with his own plate of breakfast. He sat down beside Geoun and the couple enjoyed a few cartoons that were on TV.

They spent the rest of the day in their PJs and bed. Chan would occasionally pull out his laptop to work on some music while Geoun had a short nap. But once dinner time came, both of their phones dinged at the same time.

It was a huge group chat with all of their friends: "Hey guys! I hope everybody is doing well. Because we have our 'Family Dinner' tonight! And I want to see each and every one of you there in some nice clothes this time!! Okay, see you in an hour! 😘

Geoun smiled at Rose's sweet but strict message and turned to face Chan. "I guess we're going out for dinner."

Chan chuckled and kissed Geoun's forehead as he stood up and stretched. "We should probably start getting ready."

Geoun hummed in response as she watched Chan gather their dirty dishes and leave the bedroom. She finally got out of bed and walked to their shared closet as she tried to decide what to wear.

Without any notice, Chan's arms snaked around her waist and she felt his lips on her neck. "What are you gonna wear?" He rested his chin on the top of her head.

Geoun sighed, "I don't know. I wanna wear sweatpants, but I know the girls would kill me."

They both chuckled as Chan let go of her and reached for his own clothes. "Well whatever you decide on is going to be amazing," he placed a sweet kiss on her lips before going to the bedroom to change.

After a few more minutes, Geoun decided on a simple black dress with an open back. She quickly slipped on the dress and grabbed her block heels before heading to the bathroom to fix her hair and makeup. She had a bun in all day and when she took it down, Geoun's hair had a beautiful wave to it that she decided to keep. Next she did some light makeup: concealer, blush, mascara, and a shimmery eye. And of course the peach colored lip tint. Once Geoun was satisfied with her look, she sat on the bed by her charging phone.

Chan had left the room to grab some water and when he returned, he had to take a breather. Geoun was sitting with her exposed back to him as she sat on the bed, and everything about the way she was sitting was perfect; the way her hair fell down her back, how the dress hugged her body even while sitting.
