I turned around to see a hotheaded blonde boy stomping his feet in our direction.

As he grew closer, his eyes began to shine a menacing crimson red.

Midorya's eyes were fixated on him, as he approached my desk with an angry scowl.

"What's your deal?" He asked, crossing his arms and looking down at me. His intimidating presence made me slump back in my seat, looking at Midorya for help.

"Kacchan-"

"Was I talking to you, nerd?" He snapped, making me huff. Who does he think he is?

"Kacchan?" I said outloud without thinking. His eyes darted back to me, his eyebrows furrowing. If I act weak
he'll treat me like I am.

"Your name?" I slowly regained my confidence, seeing Midorya's smile in the corner of my eye.

"My name's Katsuki Bakugo." He growled, looking down at me like I was trash. In his eyes, I probably am.

"What's your quirk, anyways? Probably something stupid." He scoffed, a devilish grin appearing on his face. He leaned forward, snatching the journal from Izuku's hands and reading it.

I panicked, leaping out of my seat and taking it back. I don't need his torment right now. I shut the book, handing it back to Midorya. The last thing I need is for a person like him to bother me for this.

Both him and Bakugo stared in shock, like no one had ever done that before. He quickly recovered, his eyes angry once again.

"Must be something embarrassing if you don't want me seeing it." A smirk appeared on his face.

"Actually-" Midorya began before being rudely interrupted.

"Shut up." Bakugo said, not taking his piercing eyes off me.

I can't tell him. If I do I know for a fact he'll make my life here hell. Although he'll probably do it either way. I'm on his bad side already, it seems. I can't give him another reason to hate me. If he won't accept my friendship, then fine. I guess we can't be friends.

He'll probably find out anyways, my inner doubt said. That's true, but I'd rather keep it hidden for as long as possible. Just so I can enjoy quiet days where I don't get yelled at for no reason.

"You know what," I stood up to match his height, though I'm a few inches short.
"That's none of your business." I said, gathering my things and walking away. I made sure to brush past his shoulder so he knows I meant it.

He clicked his tongue angrily as I sped away. I took a breath of relief, smiling at my small victory. I walked a little faster than I normally would, just to make sure I didn't give him a chance to bite back.

"Miya! Wait up." Midorya said, following right behind me. He smiled, walking me to my next class.

It's barely my first day...
