The next week, was Cecily's wedding. If Teddy was on his best behaviour again he would hopefully be allowed to stay. I watched as the bride was being prepared.

"Do I look beautiful? I must look beautiful." Cecily asked "Hope, Lizzie are you happy for me." I gave a brief smile not saying anything to her. She turned back around and I leant to whisper in Lizzie's ear.

"Are you sorry for John Wells too? Or is it just me?" she covered her mouth hiding her amusement. "Here hoping he will calm her annoying temperament."

We were in the same procession as we were with Lizzie. Cecily was in front enjoying the attention on her, Henry and I followed behind her as the people shouted for us and other members of the family

"King Warwick we support you!" I winced

"Warwick! I'm Warwick!" The other people started to chant I turned in horror as the commotion started. Guards went for Teddy.

"Oh god, please no." I breathed watching in horror. Cousin John stepped into to defend my cousin which started a fight.

"You will not harm him! York is the true King!" He yelled raising his sword

"De la Pole!" Henry shouted

"York! York!" An all out fight ensued.

Cecily's wedding was tense, I barely paid attention as I toyed with my necklace. Once we were back in the palace. Henry spoke his displeasure.

"One voice, again. Except this time it worked, men who swore fealty turned against me." he stated

"John de la Pole. Just one, not all of your men, not his parents. Though they have most likely flead in fear not because they agree." I reply

"Who else is against me? It's a pox that spreads like a plague and whispers in men's ears 'rise up! For no one loves the King. Rise up and spread this poison' This has done me harm and it was your idea." he turns to me making me scowl.

"Now I know you've turned mad. I never wanted this, all I wanted was my cousin out of the tower, yet he is now back inside. Just when he was so close. It is neither his fault or mine." I replied.

"It is Elizabeth, your mother's." I heard Lady Margaret stated coming out from the shadows

"What?" I sighed

"She must have instructed de la Pole to snatch the boy to hand to Burgundy." she approached us.

"My mother is in Bermondsey and she is watched night and day." I retorted

"The woman who set off the crowd was paid to do it. You must have seen it Henry. She did her job and then she fled. Elizabeth will strike again. There is only one way to ensure she doesn't." she suggested

"You cannot possibly suggest that you would request my mother to be killed. Are you really that afraid of her? She has outlived her usefulness now that Henry is married to me so you want to kill her?" My voice became raised

"Silence her forever Henry, then Burgundy will lose their agent. Cut off the head and the snake will die." she continued

"Henry?" he was silent "She is my mother, our son's grandmother!" I protested

"All of England laughs behind my back. I am a fool to them that has no love from any man. Do you not think i would kill for that? I will kill for less than that." he walked away and his mother followed. I held onto the wall and calmed myself down.

Show them no fear Hope!

I wiped away my tears and joined the celebrations. I stood next to Maggie and my sister.

"Please tell the King it wasn't Teddy's fault. He didn't mean it, not after he did so well last week. Hope?" she pleaded to me.

"I am sorry, Maggie." I tell her

"Well, then you will try to help him?" she asked me

"The best thing you can do is be obedient to your marriage plans. And pray for patience." I answer her. Lizzie takes my hand giving it a comforting squeeze.

"Do you know now? Who he is?" Maggie wondered, fear seeping in her voice.

"He is a soldier. Not one I have met and he lives in Wales." I informed her

"You did not make the choice then?"

"The she wolf did. Just like is suspect she is using my mother to cover up for her own indiscretions." I called forward a servant "More wine for my ladies." he bowed and went to serve them

"It is a wedding after all and we shall celebrate." the curtsied in thanks to me. I believed that the she wolf was behind this but I needed to ask my mother directly. I made my way round to stand next to my husband
