My ladies were fast asleep drunk from the celebrations. I quietly changed and left raising my hood and making my way to the river. I paid the boat man to take me to the abbey once I arrived I commanded them to let me in and I passed. Making my way upstairs I removed my hood then opened the door."It's Hope!" My sisters cheered. I crouched down to welcome their embrace.
"Hope." mother beamed
"Oh, I've missed you all so much. Look at how you've grown, how tall are you." I chuckled then stood up
"Hope." I walked over to my mother
"I'm sorry that I didn't come sooner." I apologised taking her hands in mine.
"But you're here now." She welcomed me with her familiar embrace. It was something that I missed dearly. "How's Arthur?"
"He is well, I would have brought him but..." I trailed off
"Henry doesn't know your here?" She wondered
"No." I turned around "Now Anne, I think you have grown the most, you are almost as tall as me." she giggled
"How did you get in?" Mother asked
"The Monks." I stated
"They let you through?" she went to sit down and I joined her
"Well I am Queen now. I ordered them of course, I can be fearsome like you mother. So tell me everything. Are you well? Any news from Burgundy? Is Aunt Margaret going to help us?" I questioned
"I hoped that you would tell me." she replied
"You write to her. Surely you must know? You're the Elizabeth Woodville." I chuckle trying to learn if or what she was up to.
"I can get nothing in our out. For the first time in my life, I am bereft of letters and of news. Tell me please. What of the Tudor court? Your marriage? Would you still push him from the throne?"
"You are truly not in touch with anyone?" I question not answering her.
"Even the boy who used to take my messages has gone away." Everything in my gut raged at me saying that she was lying to my face.
"Margaret is convinced you are the cause of Henry's troubles. She would have you dead." I tell her
"Of course she would." she brushed off my words.
"Mother, this is serious. This is not an idle threat, he means it. I have gained much sway since having Arthur but I see it in him, he is determined. He believes you planned for Teddy to be snatched and used against us." I continued
"I know nothing of it." she died the allegations.
"If I knew what she had planned, then maybe I could talk him round. Please, if you know anything. Help me." I pleaded with her.
"I have no power anymore. I have these four walls and your sisters, that is all."

On the return journey I saw that Henry was waiting for me. I sighed rubbing my face. Once the boat came to a stop I got out and headed back inside the grounds. Henry was stood there as I closed the gate behind me.
"Henry." I began
"Even you. Even you."
"I was just..." he cut be off again
"I know what you were doing. I have you followed and I am proven right too because you went to see your mother. Did you really think you could just slip into the abbey where I keep her If i did not permit it. You lied to me and you are as treacherous as she is." he seethed and his words broke my heart. He began to walk away
"Henry. I went to see my mother, yes. Because you said you would execute her. I hid it from you but it was to help us because if I asked you never would have agreed. I wanted t know if she was plotting with Burgundy." I explained
"And is she?" he questioned me
"I can't say for sure. I think she is but I have no proof, she told me nothing." he carried on walking
"My mother no longer trusts me!" I yelled "She saw before I did that I am Tudor now. The birth of Arthur makes me so because I would never go against him. Our son puts me on your side forever. You may chose not to believe me and I wouldn't blame you, but I love you Henry. With all my heart and you are all I have now and for you not to trust me I..." I trailed off. I walk past him
