Mira's POV

One year later.

"You may now kiss the bride..." Narinig ko ang anunsyo ng pari kasabay ng mga iba't-ibang hiyawan ng mga tao. Xander cupped my face as he leaned in and gave me a short but ardent kiss.

I tapped on the laptop's keyboard as I stare into the screen, looking at the perfect shot of our kiss. Pumangalumbaba ako sa table habang tinitignan yung shot. Hindi ko alam pero palagi pa rin akong napapa-ngiti kahit ilang beses ko nang napapanood 'to.

We chose the same date to get married, January 20. It was our first anniversary, and we celebrated it through a wedding attended by Xander's side, and finally, my family in attendance. There's no more hiding, no more slipping away. It was definitely a blissful day to celebrate our first year of marriage.

Just then, I felt someone kissing me on my temple as I focused on the screen.

"You know you could always ask if you need one..." he playfully whispered as he encircled his arms around.

Napa-ngiti lang ako sa sinabi niya saka hinarap siya. I clung onto his nape, "Then give me one."

He smiled as he gave me an ardent kiss and proceeded to give me small kisses all over my face. I laughed at what he did and when he's done, he stared right into my eyes.

"Happy Birthday, babe..." he said, almost sounding like a whisper.

Niyakap ko siya, "That's like the tenth time you've said that since I woke up."

"Happy Birthday..." he just replied. I laughed at his response.

Humiwalay siya sa'kin nang kaunti at nginitian ako. Tinanggal niya ang ilang buhok na tumabing sa mukha ko saka niya ako hinawakan sa mukha, "Labas tayo mamaya?"

"You don't want to celebrate here instead?"

"Nah. I already felt bad leaving you here alone and it's your birthday."

"Don't be, love. Kailangan ka sa office, papagalitan tayo ni Lolo kapag 'di ka pumasok."

Umingos siya, "Can't I take a one-day leave just to spend my wife's birthday?"

I giggled, "Nope. At since lalabas tayo mamaya, let me shop for my clothes for tonight."

"Alright, fine..." he said in a defeated tone. Bumalik naman kaagad ang ngiti niya, "I'll pick you up later?"

"Don't bother. Just tell me where the restaurant is."

"Are you sure?"

Naka-ngiti akong tumango sa kanya. He sighed, "Okay..."

Marahan ko siyang itinulak, "Now get going. Baka ma-late ka pa."

Sumimangot lang siya at pumunta na sa kwarto. Sinara ko ang laptop bago ko siya sinundan sa loob. He just got off the shower when he went to the kitchen counter and hugged me while I was watching our wedding video. Nang pumasok ako sa kwarto namin, suot na niya ang trousers at crisp shirt niya. I pulled one of the drawers and chose a tie for him. Ako na rin ang nag-lagay at nag-knot ng tie niya. He proceeded on buttoning his coat and topping it with an overcoat.

He looked himself at the mirror one last time before he turned to me. I just smiled to him as I handed him his car keys. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at sabay kaming lumabas ng kwarto. Magkahawak kamay kami hanggang umabot kami sa pinto.
