Reader x Eustass Kid Birthday Wishes p.t 1

Y/n woke up early sitting up in the bed she shared with her boyfriend and captain. Y/n rubbed her eyes and yawned standing up. She looked beside her seeing Eustass Kid fast asleep beside her. Y/n smiled to herself before standing up and heading to the adjacent bathroom to have a shower and get ready for the day. The reason she was up so early? Today was her beloveds birthday and she wanted nothing more than to make it special for him. Stepping out of the shower she got dressed and silently slipped out of the room.

Y/n saw a few of the other crew members running around putting together decorations and gifts to shower their captain with. "Y/n" she turned upon hearing her name. "Killer" y/n smiled "have you gotten your surprise ready?" He asked. Y/n nodded "heat helped me put it together last night!" She exclaimed excitedly.

A couple hours later y/n returned to her shared bedroom. Seeing Kid still laying in bed. As she walked closer his deep voice quietly spoke. "Where did you run off to so early this morning?" Y/n sat on the edge of the bed "ah I had some stuff to do this morning" she said watching him slowly sit up stretching. Her eyes traveled up from his waist to his face where they met his. Y/n smiled pulling a small wrapped box from her nightstand drawer. "Happy birthday" she said Kid looked at her a smirk pulling at his lips. "You didn't have to get me anything" he said. "I wanted to" Kid chuckled before opening the box. He looked at it's contents seeing a ring attached to it was a note.

"Hand crafted by Y/n L/n" Kid pulled the ring from the box looking at the smooth surface of the gold band in his hands. "That's ironic" he stated brushing his fingers through his hair. "What do you mean? Do you like it?" She asked quietly fiddling with her hands. "Of course I like it y/n, anything you gave me I'd appreciate it" y/n smiled slightly before watching him dig around in his bedside table. Y/n saw him pull out a small box wrapped similar to the box she had given him. "It's just Ironic cause I was planning to give you this today" he said handing her the box. Y/n opened the box seeing a gold ring with a diamond with 2 (birthstones) on either side of it. Y/n gasped pulling it from the box Kid took it from her "Y/n L/n, make my birthday wish come true and marry me" he said. Y/n looked at him shocked, it didn't take long for a grin to spread across her face as she nodded. He put the ring on her finger and y/n practically jumped on him her lips colliding with his. He smirked holding her as he returned the kiss.

A knock at the door interrupted their moment of passion "what is it?" Kid called annoyed. "We've got important things to get done today captain" Killers voice came clear from the other side of the door. Y/n pulled away from Kid "we can continue this later" she winked feeling giddy as excitement ran through her. Kid got up and got ready for the day y/n took his hand the two wearing their rings as they walked to the main deck. Kid pushed open the doors and were bombarded with confetti and streamers "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPTAIN!" the crew all shouted at once. Y/n smiled seeing the surprised look on Kid's face. "So this is what you were up to" Kid said looking back at her. "The crew did most of the work" Y/n replied with a shrug as the party began food and drinks were served as quickly as it was eaten.

"Did you have a good birthday?" y/n asked standing in front of her drunk fiancé who insisted she dance with him. "Best birthday ever" he stated pressing his lips against hers. "We're gonna have a wedding!" He yelled out everyone began to cheer. "So he decided to ask after all" Wire said "I wasn't sure he'd do it" Killer replied honestly. "Eh? What do you mean by that!" Kid shouted having over heard his first mate. "Ah nothing!" "Nothing, my ass!" Y/n giggled planting a kiss on his neck. He looked at her smirking before scooping her up in his arms. "I think we should pick up where we left off this morning" he whispered carrying her into the ship ignoring the protests of the crew. Y/n giggled letting him carry her further into the ship.
