(Child Fem) Reader x Roronoa Zoro - Prank wars

A young girl named Y/n L/n looked up at her handy work the fake signs she pinned to the tree. She heard footsteps coming and she jumped before she crouched hiding behind a tree stifling her laughter as she watched the unsuspecting swordsman wandering lost. "Huh I could've sworn I've been here before" he mumbled to himself. He caught something small moving from the corner of his eye and turned towards the tree Y/n was hiding behind. Glaring before lifting his head towards the sign pinned to the tree "Aha! The docks are this way!" He announced proudly before walking in the opposite direction. Y/n giggled quietly smirking to herself before sneaking along behind him "Zoro you're so stupid" she mumbled before diving into a bush as he turned around. He eyed the bush suspiciously before turning back and continuing on. Y/n lifted her head looking for him only to see him gone. "Where'd he go?" she mumbled standing up. "Gotcha!" Zoro said scooping her up out of the bush. "how long did you know?" Y/n asked pouting. "Since the signs" he replied throwing the small girl over his shoulder. "You're going the wrong way!" Y/n huffed. "I'm sure the ship was this way!" he replied.

After a few hours of the two wandering around the woods they finally got back to the ship. "Where have you two been all day?" Nami asked "Lost in the woods" Y/n replied skipping along to the kitchen to see Sanji. "That brat changed the signs so we got lost" Zoro said grumpily sitting down swords leaned beside him he closed his eye before falling asleep. Y/n sat in the kitchen Sanji walking with her he had handed her something to drink and a snack Luffy sitting beside her. "I've got the best idea for a prank to pull on Zoro!" Y/n said. Sanji turned around leaning against the counter. "If it's against Marimo I'll help you anyway I can" Sanji smirked. Y/n giggled as she jumped up onto the counter before opening one of the highest cupboards she pulled out a scrap book and put it on the table. Luffy had long gone by now leaving Y/n and Sanji to talk opening the scrap book she pointed out pictures and diagrams. He smirked a bit before going to the cupboard pulling out a large bag "I'll go get some Sea water!" she cheered before running off towards the door. Coming back with a pail of water they measured it into another bucket putting some of the contents of the bag into the bucket before mixing the contents together. She took the bucket smiling at Sanji whispering a thank you before running out. She ran to the crows nest her body and the bucket becoming invisible. As she climbed the ladder she climbed into the rafters silently waiting. An evil grin pulled onto her lips as she watched the hatch open. She slowly poured over the bucket onto the unsuspecting swordsman as he came up from below. He shrieked as the cold goop fell from the ceiling onto his head. "AGH, y/n!" he shouted hearing her giggles ring through the room "where are you! you little brat!" he called looking for her. She dropped the bucket onto his head before making her escape out the window. Sliding down a rope her tucked and rolled on the deck. "Ow, ow rope burn" she hissed before running towards the kitchen to hide in the cupboard. "Where is she i'm gonna throw her into the ocean!" Zoro called throwing open the kitchen door which resulted in a shoe being thrown in here. "Don't break my door!" Sanji shouted shooing him back out of the kitchen. Zoro grumbled before heading to the bathroom. Sanji opened the cup board seeing her smile at him with a giggle. "The look on his face was priceless" Y/n said Sanji chuckled lifting her down from the cabinet. 

Over the next few weeks Y/n pulled all kinds of pranks on Zoro. The others on the ship helping out from time to time. Zoro just about had it locking himself in the crows nest. "I think you finally broke him" Robin said lifting her head to look up at the crows nest. Y/n pouted "Do you think I went to far?" the young girl asked "Don't worry about it y/n maybe draw back on all the pranks for a while though" Nami said. Y/n nodded walked to sit at the side of the ship quietly leaning against the edge. She peered over towards the water a sigh escaping her she failed to notice the large shadow that was approaching from under the waters surface. 

Up in the crows nest Zoro sat grumbling to himself as he pressed weights. His grumbling stopped along with the weights as he turned his head slightly listening before hearing a scream. He jumped up and made his way out of the crows nest. "Y/n!" Nami screamed leaning against the side of the ship. "What happened?" Sanji asked rushing out "A large fish jumped out and snatched Y/n off the deck!" Nami replied. Sanji was about to dive into the water when a certain moss headed swordsman beat him to it. Zoro dove down into the water he saw the large fish Nami had described to Sanji it had Y/n half in it's mouth. The small girl weakened by the sea water Zoro pulled a sword from his side and hit the fish over the head. Causing it to release Y/n from it's jaws Zoro grabbed ahold of her before swimming up to the surface. Putting her on deck Chopper rushed over pushing the water out of her chest. She gasped staring in shock she lifted her head towards Zoro who had his arms crossed over his chest eyes narrowed towards the sea. "Are you ok Y/n?" she heard several voices at once. She clung to Zoro suddenly "eh? let go" Zoro said trying to shake her off. "Thanks Zoro" she mumbled he shook her head prying her off his leg before walking off. Sanji picked her up before walked to the kitchen she looked over Sanji's shoulder back towards Zoro who was climbing back to the crows nest. 

Later Y/n wandered out of the ship seeing Zoro napping at the side of the ship. Y/n snuck over sitting in his lap he opened his one functioning eye looking down at her. "What do you want?" he asked looking at her, she looked down twiddling her thumbs. "I'm sorry full pulling all those pranks on you Zoro" she mumbled "whatever" he replied. "Thanks for saving me from that nasty fish!" she blurted out. Zoro stared at her a smirk on his lips. "Whatever kid, it's not like I was gonna let it eat you" he said ruffling her hair. She curled up against his side slowly falling asleep. Zoro smiled slightly before relaxing again and falling asleep.
