Cory's first day back at school came all too soon. It didn't make much sense to go back since it was a week before winter break; Cory was mainly going back so that she could get all of her over due assignments that she could work on them over break. And there was a lot.

At the end of the school day, Cory walked out with her very heavy Jack Skellington backpack over her shoulders. As she walked out, she noticed a lot of people staring at something. Or someone. Cory followed everyone's gaze and just laughed. She walked up to him, leaning against the car, looking at his phone.

"What are you doing here?"

"What, I can't pick my girlfriend up from school?" Chris asks. He pauses, "That's a weird sentence..."

Cory laughs, "Well, I'm actually pretty happy you did. My bag is super heavy with all of my over due shit and I really didn't wanna walk home with all of it on my shoulders."

"Well now you don't have to." Chris smiles, "Here, lemmie take your bag."

Cory hands him the bag without question and rolls her shoulders, relieved.

"Fuck. What, did your teachers give you bricks for homework?"

"You would think that." Cory says, getting in the car.

Chris gets in as well, "How long do you have to get all of that done?"

"I have until the end of break."

"But you are gonna over-work yourself to try and get it done as soon as possible."

"You know me too well."

"Slut!" Someone shouts at Cory from outside.

Chris opens the car door and steps out, "Fuck you, you bitchy little attention whore! Go to Hell before I put you there!"

They shut up.

Chris gets back in the car and shuts the door, "That oughta do it."

"You know they're saying that because I'm so much younger than you." Cory says, "Does that...ever bother you? That I'm still in high school?" She asks as Chris begins to drive off.

Chris sighs, "I'll admit...when I first started liking you, it did bother me. I'd feel really guilty every time I looked at you a certain way or said something to you...But as I really started to fall for you, I realized it didn't matter. It doesn't bother me anymore. Promise."

Chris watches Cory with a raised eyebrow, as she was now in full focus mode with her homework. She looked to be in a completely other world as she chewed the eraser of her pencil.

"You're not gonna have any erasers left if you keep doing that." Chris says.

"Then I'll buy some cap erasers." Cory rebuts.

Chris just chuckles and Cory rubs her face, tiredly. She then stops and groans before sighing.

"I totally just smeared my makeup, didn't I?" She asks.

"Little bit."

Cory groans and throws her head back in frustration.

"Alright. Being 'em up. Come on." Chris says.

Cory resituates herself and puts her perfectly pedicured feet into Chris' lap and he begins rubbing them.

Cory sighs, "You're a good boyfriend."

"I try." Chris says, "I love you."

"Really?"

"Yes, baby, I promise...and I can prove it!"
