Okay so if you're here and are wondering why the last chapter changed so drastically is because I wrote two different parts to the end and I accidentally published the wrong one.
I can't even find the right one so I changed it to how it was supposed to end.
Basically I wrote it a while ago and I didn't even realize that it was all wrong. So if you for whatever reason read it over you'll notice that it's different.
Intended Resolution:
Thomas was supposed to go mental, as if he was trying to commit suicide. Then he admits that everything was fake, and essentially him. Thomas wasn't real. It was actually Pan the entire time.
