AS WE DROVE BACK HOME with the car Vito gave us, I notice how quiet Mika was. Vito must have told her something that disturbed her because she never is this quiet.

God, for the first time I wish she would run her mouth or yell at me for the, most stupid things.

Sighing, I tried not to focus too much on her and focus more on where we could go. I knew the Warehouse, the house, or my parent's house was not an option. They are all not safe places to be with Mikalya so the next best solution was a Motel where no one can track us.

We all threw our phones away when Vito picked us up just in case.

After a few minutes, we got to the Bronx where we went to the Motel. I parked the car in the small parking lot and we all got out.

''Okay, I'm going to get our room keys and pay cash so no one can track our credit cards,'' Landon said and I nodded in agreement.

As of right now, we have to be low-key and stay undercover.

The boys pulled their hoods up and walked towards the smoking area to smoke while I stayed with Mikalya who hasn't taken notice of me. She was too focused on the night sky that was covered in bright stars.

''What did Vito say?'' she turned to look at me and shrugged her shoulders. I slightly raised my brow at her and she turned her gaze back to the stars.

I moved closer to her until I stood in front of her. Then I tipped her head down by grabbing her chin with my thumb and index finger. Her face was inches away from mine and I could smell her minty breath.

''Tell me,'' she seemed unfazed by my tone and actions which got me questioning a lot.

What happened? What did Vito say to her?

She pushed my hand off of her face and moved away to walk towards the Motel. I turned around and watched her do so.

Whatever Vito told her, it made her mad at me.

"They didn't have many rooms left so we have to share our three bedrooms. They all are two-bed bedrooms," he gave us all one key with the number of the room on it. "Let's go,"

I turned to Mikayla who was sitting on the bench outside and then walked up to her.

I don't want her with any of the boys alone in a room so I'm going with her. "Hey, let's go. I have the key to our room," I told her and she nodded, standing up and walking passed me without glancing back.
