I zoomed across the quidditch pitch, eyes darting across every square inch. Ravenclaw was in third place just behind Slytherin, then of course Gryffindor, but they get points for breathing anyway. This game would determine whether or not we took over second place.

I saw Slytherins seeker, Malfoy, also scanning over the pitch, he was easy to spot, his platinum blonde hair sticking out against everything else.

His eyes met mine for a split second, just as I spotted a small golden glint near him.

I quickly leant forward, hurtling myself towards him towards him, for a moment he had an incredibly confused look plastered over his face.

But before long he'd followed my line of vision and swerved towards the snitch, the 12pm sun hitting it in just the right spot making it slightly easier to see.

Lee Jordan had noticed almost right away and started commentating our very move.
'Malfoy and Y/l/n are now both pelting after the snitch. Malfoy with a slight gain-'

The snitch had veered upwards, and gradually we started getting higher and higher. Adrenaline started coursing through my entire body, excitement but also nerves eating away at my skin.

The noise from the stands faded out along with Lee's commentary and was replaced with the wind whipping at my skin as I kept climbing higher.

'Oh god-' I thought as we both ended up nose diving for the snitch. The ground was coming closer by the second, but I took the moment to glance at Malfoy.

His bottom lip was trapped between his teeth, blonde hair messily pushed back, robes flowing harshly behind him.

THUMP
——————————————————

That was the last thing I remember, oh and the ringing. I had been hit square in the head with a bludger, which I guess it was my fault. If I hadn't been heavily examining Malfoy's looks, I probably could've avoided this. To add to the situation the bludger sent me crashing me into him, sending him to the hospital wing along with me.

How joyful.

——————————————————

A small groan escaped my lips as I opened my eyes. My head felt as though I'd purposely slammed it in a car door several times.

The clock on the wall read 5:34pm.

'Ah and you're awake.' It took a moment to recognise who it was- but I glimpsed over to the bed next to mine to see the blonde hair that unmistakably belonged to Draco Malfoy.

'What the-'

'If you're about to ask why you're-' he paused briefly to correct himself. 'Why we're in here, it's because you got hit by the bludger and came bloody crashing into me.' He said, his voice laced with bitterness.

I fixed my gaze back on his face to see it twisted in distaste at the thought.

'I'm so sorry I couldn't control which way I came flying of my broom.' I sarcastically retorted.

'You should be. You nearly bloody concussed me too.'

'A shame, maybe if I did you'd still be unconscious.'

He scoffed loudly and opened his mouth to probably say something sarcastic back but the doors to the infirmary came swinging open.

'Ah y/n! You're awake, wonderful! How are you feeling?' Madam Pomfrey chorused.
