"Am I going to die," I asked straight forwardly, blurting it out so my nerves wouldn't silence me.

"What.." Adio questioned, looking over at me with squinted eyebrows.

"Am I gonna die going on this?" I asked again, "cause I feel like I'm gonna die, I mean, I can use a gun, but I don't have a gun. Plus these people don't know me, and like, they don't really do well with strangers I've learned. Not to mention the fact we're still on the ru—"

"Lijah, you good, relax. You finna talk my damn ear off."he sighed.

"You ain't gon die, just stay close, and don't do or say no stupid shit." He explained.

I nodded and looked back down at my fingers.

"Hey can I ask you something?" I questioned.

"go head." He responded lowly.

"Okay, so earlier, when Anthony said that either I needed to leave, or we both had to, you were gonna leave with me. Were you being serious, or did you know he wasn't really gonna go through with it?" I asked lowly.

"I called his bluff." He responded simply.

I tried to suppress the hint of disappointment I felt but failed.

"but honestly, even if he won't bluffin', I still woulda' left." he shrugged, coming to a stop at the red light.

I looked over at wide eyes, watching as he looked over at me to continue speaking.

"We a team right, can't do this shit wit outchu'." He spoke.

"but, sacrificing a stable safe house, I don't know, it doesn't seem smart." I mumbled

"I do a lot of shit that's not smart." He responded, again with a nonchalant attitude.

"we almost there, put that hoodie thas in the back seat on." He instructed, causing me to turn around, spotting the black hoodie thrown across the back seat.

I grabbed it and swiftly put it on as he continued to drive.

"this is huge on me..." I complained lowly.

"goal ain't to look good, it's to not get recognize, hea'." As he finished up his sentence he handed me some shades, which I also put on.

"well," I sighed, "how do I look."

I posed with my fingers twisted awkwardly and smiled.

"like me." He chuckled, shaking his head.

"so a damn mess, got it." I joked.

He glared over at me causing me to laugh, "just kidding, just kidding. I definitely smell like you though." I spoke, staring down at my hoodie swallowed hands.

"Watchu tryna say now, I stink or sum." He asked, squinting his eyebrows.

"no, you actually smell pretty good." I shrugged.
