Post Honeymoon

Back in Seattle...
Mark's POV:

Mer and I got back from our honeymoon yesterday. We had lots of fun and shared nights of love and peace. We missed the twins a lot so we FaceTimed every night before they went to bed.

"MARK!" Mer yelled. I sprinted to the living room.

"Lucas is taking his first steps!" Susan said

"First steps!" I said

"Yay buddy you did good!" Meredith said

"Lucas just had his first steps!?" I said

"Well obviously it wasn't like he was flying!" Meredith laughed

"He's growing up..." I said in a sad tone

"Your gonna get old" Meredith said trying to be funny

"You two are funny" Susan said

"Lucas is growing up and so is Amelie!" I said taking a moment of realization.

"That's what kids do, love" Meredith said.

"You guys have to get to the hospital soon." Susan said

"Oh! Thanks c'mon Mark we are gonna be late!" Meredith said

"Going! Bye loves" I said

The entire ride I kept taking in the fact that my kids are growing up and that in a few years they would be off to college! Well not "a few years" more like seventeen years but still that's not the point! We arrived at the hospital and walked in and immediately started talking to our friends.

"Hey it's the newlyweds!" Callie said

"Hi everyone!" Meredith said

"Lucas took his first steps this morning" I said still shocked

"Really wow!" Cristina says

"Congrats to you both!" Alex said

"So are you guys gonna stay in Seattle or go back to your old hospital?" Arizona asked

"We haven't really talked about it yet." Meredith said.

"We have another year left on our contract back home so we might have to go back for a little." I said. Meredith nodded in agreement.

"Well at least it's just a year!" Alex said

At the hospital...
Derek's POV:

I have been thinking about my kids lately and I think I'm gonna ask Rose if she would be fine if I had a relationship with them. I want to know them. They seem amazing and adorable but I still don't want to lose Rose and our future!

"Rose!" I said

"Hey what's up?" She asked

"I have a very important question.." I said

"Ok?"

"Would you be mad if I had a relationship with my kids?" I asked

"I- um I don't know maybe in the future but right now I don't know." She said

"How far in the future?" I ask

"Um I don't know I am scared to lose you and this relationship and your kids could do that! I want to marry you and have kids! So maybe I need time with just us and our future without your kids in it." She said

"Ok but please don't take to long because I can't miss seeing them grow up!" I say

"I will try but this is a difficult subject Derek!"

I hope Rose doesn't take that long because I want a future with her too but I also want to see my kids grow up I mean it's already bad that they think Mark is their father! I don't know what will happen to us or me if she takes to long.

In the hospital...
Meredith's POV:

I pulled Mark into a conference room to talk about our future.

"I think we need to go back to the hospital out of Seattle and finish our contract." I say

"I agree. I am also in a weird place with Derek so maybe that would help." He says

"So we go back and then come here after we finish?" I ask

"I mean I think so. We just have to figure out the Derek situation." He says

"Yeah that might be a bit hard."

"Mer?" He says

"Yes" I say

"Would you... would you want to have more kids?" He asks obviously nervous

"I mean if you want to I would want to." I say

"You would!" He says with a smile

"Yes of course! I love you Mark and I want to have your kids!" I say hugging him

"I love you too!" He says kissing my head

*a week later*

We told everyone we were leaving Seattle again. Some took it harder than others but in the end it worked out.

"So you WILL be back in a year?" Cristina asks

"Yes for sure!" I say

"Can I come visit you guys?" She asks

"Of course anyone can come visit at anytime!" I say to everyone

"Seriously Mer is right if you want a little get away just come visit Mer and I we would love to see you guys!" Mark says

"We have to go before it gets dark..." I say

"Bye everyone!" Mark says

"Bye!" Lots of people said

We began our journey home. We would be back in a year and maybe a little to visit for the holidays!

At SGH...
Derek's POV:

Mer, Mark, and the kids left. They are gone. At least for a year or so I've heard. I didn't expect Rose to make a decision so quick but I wish she did. Maybe then the kids would still be in Seattle. I have to wait a year to be close to my kids and maybe longer to actually know them! Screw life this sucks! I don't know why I didn't ask Rose sooner! I could have known a bit about my kids before they left! I can't really fight for custody to see them since I said I didn't want them not that long ago! They are gonna know me ask the bastard that didn't want them. Even if I see them a bit that part won't see go away.  Hopefully this thing with Rose works out or else I would have thrown a bunch of things away for nothing! I mean Rose is something and I want it to turn into something bigger but if not I lost some things that I could never get back!

It was either I write and post this or not post anything at all today and I said that I would try to post everyday and I am trying to keep my word so I just decided to post this.
